• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HowTo: Replace the Windsheld Arm with Billet Aluminum Arm.

May need to file axle lightly I ordered my replacement windshield arm from Ron (NOBOOT) two (2) years ago. It took all this time to finally get the job done, as I haven't been riding as much as I would like. Removed all the tupperware and pulled the OEM part that was prone to failure. All was...

    Another Seat Question

Gel Inserts... meh I installed the gel inserts over the winter. I have ridden about 1,200 miles now on the modified OEM seat with the inserts. For me and the wife, the seat is almost harder and we both actually prefer the original seat. After a few hours I can't wait to get OFF the machine. I'm...

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

Sorry, you bought the wrong model number. See the discussion at (scroll down to #30): http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?14601-Lifting-the-RT Harbor Freight has a couple of jacks that look similar. One is a little shorter and fits under the Spyder with no problem. Try returning...

    Sway Bar install Question

I just used regular car ramps. Removed the frunk (not that hard) and had easy access with no problems. It's much easier to work on when the frunk is off.

how long does your dealer take, with service work?

I hate to say this, but... find a new dealer. The local dealer near me (8 minutes) is booking 2 weeks out, just to look at a Spyder. I recently had a DPS warning and limped in. When I went back out the warning was gone and the Spyder "repaired itself." In hindsight I took a corner a little too...

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

No worries. There is a ton of information discussed here and it can be difficult to pull it all together sometimes. Many times it can be a blurb in an unrelated topic. You are absolutely correct, it is very confusing. The price is the same for multiple item numbers. A common issue with H.F. I...

    HF lift special

Yes, the #61632 does drop quickly. I just tap the foot lever a little and let the Spyder down as easy as possible. After a little practice, I don't have any issues with it. Depending on what I need to do and for added stability I will also use car ramps under the front wheels. Clearance for...

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

This has been discussed before, so the take-away for me was to measure the clearance needed before I went to H.F. When I got to the store, i measured to make sure I had the right model/item. By providing the correct item number here I was trying to save some steps for folks.

    americade group ride

:agree: Also, if you haven't already, give them a heads up that you are coming as a group. Leave plenty of time in your itinerary for the stop. With so many riders in the area, service will be very slow, guaranteed. This place remains a very popular tourist stop.

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

See the pics at the beginning of the thread from Lamonster. Same style lift, different color. If you look under the Spyder, you will see the main frame (square tube) running back to the rear shock mount. Place the lift a hair forward of the shock mount on the frame. It will wobble a little until...
