• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    #ding # 100k miles

definitely happens. I got in to the habit of preparing myself for the hit and/or taking it easy on turns if I see debri. The worst was a day when I wan on road that had that asphalt material that they leave loose for cars to flatten down. I changed lanes hard to pass a guy and the loose asphalt...

Hey folks. Let's chat up the CT section

well, I have a confession to make; About 5 weeks ago, I picked up a Honda Element... This is the first car I have owned in 5 years. It was becoming increasingly difficult to find people to go up to VT and rental cars just get too expensive, so I dropped the hammer. The car has had a massive...

    Dirty Spyder?

I normally stop in at one of those self service wash bays and grab the pressure washer. I leave the engine running and spray it from every angle. The place I go to has a slight incline at the rear of the bay, so I throw the spyder in reverse, let the clutch out slowly and spray down the belt...

    Spyder Rejuvenation

true mileage may never be known.... Since replacing the cluster brings you back to zero. ...yup, its true. In theory a shady individual or even a dealer could purchase a new cluster or even just swap one out with another unit. Like maybe the cluster on a demo unit swapped with a unit...

For Tattr and others who ryde in the snow

If you travel busy roads at peak times you will never have an issue with the snow cause the plow truck armies are out there. The real question may be; how will you be able to accept the salt and dirt on your vehicle. This was me last year when we got hit with 6 inches as I was coming home from...

What is the Craziest / Coolest thing you transported on your Spyder?

this one gets few looks. When I'm going to MA or local in CT two bungess are enough to hold it in place up to 50mph. When I got to VT, I have to prep for high speed so I reinforce with 6 bungees and a custom cut piece of wood strapped under the board to prevent it from flexing in the wind.

    Salty Spyder

A few BRP folks did bring up the topic of doing a tear down on it and we played around with the idea earlier in 09'.... so we'll see if anything develops from it. I push through some ugly conditions and park outdoors, so when I reach my 2 year mark, this Spyder will have aged about 7-9. It's...

    DPS roulette

o, m, g........ 1) Doc, I breathe a sigh of relief to hear about your experience on the highway. I've been there and know how ugly that is. 2) I'm stunned to see this post, MagicMan's post and a few others that are resurfacing the DPS issue.. 3) I'm stunned, because of the coincidence. Today...

    Salty Spyder

the iPhone pic came out better than expected, but in reality it was way more intense. This is what my Spyder looked like when I got to work this morning. I spent the holiday weekend scurrying around CT and playing in the snow, but things change drastically when I get in to the salt on the...

    Cold weather blues

It does, it does very well. I'm pushing mine threw it's second winter and it runs great. I murder my battery with heated gear and cold starts but overall the performance is nothing short of phenomenal. I ride everyday and commute 157 miles a day, with 90% of that on the highway shattering speed...
