• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    LASER WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Gerald37 - please don't let a few know-it-alls get the best of you. You, my friend remind me of my uncle who could do most anything he set his mind to. I was fortunate enough to live next door to him as I was growing up, and his ingenuity always inspired me to build things, fix things, and...

    Backrest Question

I'm not afraid of a little work especially if it saves me from buying another backrest kit for a few hundred dollars! With the time I put into making the plywood prototype (only needed one) it fits me perfectly. I would do it again for myself in a heartbeat. There's a tremendous amount of...

    Backrest Question

Unless BRP has decided to be more generous, the mount referenced is just the new "tuning fork" to allow easier adjustments forward and backward tilt. The missing piece of the puzzle is the aluminum mounting plate bolted to the bottom of the seat, and BRP doesn't (as far as I know) sell that...

BRP does offer a liner for the rear trunk https://can-am.brp.com/spyder/shop/accessories/cargo-storage/top-case-accessories/top-case-molded-inside-liner0.html for $130. H2O

    Shop talk (literally)

If you want to consider a gas furnace and have an outside wall with enough space to install it, look at a wall furnace with direct venting. I have an Empire wall furnace and there is one wall penetration for the inlet air and exhaust. It is a coaxial vent with the combustion air being drawn...

F3-T Drifting Slightly to the Right

Ann, I highly respect your experience and knowledge shared with us on this forum, and I respect your opinion on this matter. I stand by my original factual statement. Not knowing the experience level of the OP wvedec, I did not want a situation to develop where if by some miracle his drifting...

F3-T Drifting Slightly to the Right

I'm sure you already know this, but I'll mention it just to be sure. The Kenda front tires are directional, so you would have to demount the tires from the rims to switch sides. H2O

    F3-T Touring: Luggage?

You wrote: I was looking for bags/luggage that would fit into the saddlebags and came across these ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AV56BTW...=3LTII1H6TSART ). Of course they're small, but they're made for the saddlebag compartment. Does anyone use these? We bought a set of these for my wife's...

    Car Tire

I mean no offense and don't wish to debate, but the demount tip is strong enough for a car tire. It's all in the technique and NoMar cautions not to try prying the bead up over the rim or the tip will break. The trick is to use the "hook" on the tip to pull the bead straight up to the rim and...

    Car Tire

If you get the HF tire changer, either buy or make a set of Mojo Blocks to protect the rim. I also found using thin rubber gasket material on the Mojo Blocks helps keep the rim from spinning when you are using the mount/demount bar. I drilled new holes in two of the rim clamps where they mount...

    Adjusting Handlebar Angle on F3-T?

"Of course, that meant the "no park brake" alarm went off, just to draw the attention of everyone nearby :yikes: :D" So far, I thought hitting the horn button rather than the turn signal was bad enough, but I think Pete just won the prize. H2O

stalling issue getting worse along with idle

In regards to the part number changing, don't put too much thought into that. Maybe there was an improved version, or it could just be they are buying it from a different supplier. H2O

    Losing air in rear shock

If you don't have a valve core tool, get one and make sure the valve core is snug. I agree with Peteoz about the volume of the bag is so small, it doesn't take much to lose a lot of pressure. I use a bicycle tire pump to put about 45 psi in the bag and then use my digital pressure gage to set...

    Drive pulley problem

Doc, I think there is a turnbuckle type connection above and forwards of the engine on the RT and would guess that could be used for overall alignment within the frame. I could be wrong. Would also guess the F3 has the same arrangement. H2O

    DIY tire replacement

Thanks for the comments. I already have the HF tire changer with the motorcycle adapter and some homemade mojo blocks and have used it in the past to change out some old Bushtec trailer tires and tubes. I have ordered a No Mar bar and I think everything will be OK. If I were doing this every...
