• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please tell me what Battery Heated vests you recommend?

Pros and cons to most things in life. I went with a Gerbing 7V battery jacket from The Warming Store. The battery style gives me more flexibility in using the jacket. I'm not tethered to the bike so I stay warm when I get off. I can go to colder weather outdoor events, hikes, walks and so...

So many complaints about the Spyders. Anyone with no problems?

I owned a 2013 RT-S, which I bought in 2014 knowing about the heat issue. BRP sent out a recall within the first year of owning it. Never back in the shop for unexpected failures, only maintenance. I rode it from KC to the Outer Banks, Michigan UP, South Dakota, Breckenridge, and Phoenix. In...

Slingmods Adjustable Backrest - who has one and what do you think?

I have the showchrome backrest. Things I like about it it is the forward/backward adjustments and the tilt up and down. The tilting up and down continually adjusts to my riding position. The primary thing I don't like is it is not very wide. It will support my center back sweet spot but on a...

Anybody find a TPMS for the 2020 RTL that has the shamrock rims?

Has anyone ridden a Spyder to Prudhoe Bay?

I rode my 2020 RTL up to Alaska last year. I had intentions of riding to the Arctic Circle but after a dusty and tiring ride over the Top of the World Highway, I decided to forgo the Arctic Circle. The TOTWH wasn't too bad for a dirt/gravel road but the combination of dust, dirt, rocks and...

    Georgia to Alaska - 2023

I rode up to Alaska last year. Great trip and a wonderful experience. I want to go back sometime. One thing about the Spyder. I got mine serviced and new tires installed (not Kendas) before I left. I only had a small oil top off after about 4500 miles. Bike ran like a champ. Most other...

What do you do for Emergency Assistance on Far/interstate Road-trips?

Time and/or money will fix most things. Prevention goes a long way. Before my trip to Alaska I had the 9k service done even though I only had 6k on my 2020 RTL. I put on a new, rear non-oem tire. I disabled the DESS just to be safe. I took some basic tools, a 12v inflator, a tire repair...

    Dragon or Rattler?

The Dragon will be crowded but one nice thing about it is there are a couple of professional photographers who will take pictures of you as you pass by. It is nice to have pictures of yourself riding the Spyder. I don't know if the Rattler has any photographers.

Gravel and Minimum Maintenance Roads in SE MN

Looks like it was a great trip. My experience with my 2020 Spyder RTL is it handles packed gravel and dirt roads very well. Just slow down and stay alert. Deeper dirt on road construction the bike will get through it for short distances but it is not an "off-road" bike. I wanted to buy the...
