• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Hello Again Mike, Using your technique (removing the rear light panel from the top case to access the latch adjusting bolts) has worked for me. I did just like you suggested - multiple tries, that, like you said you had experienced, finally resulted in a better latching experience. Not smooth...

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Hello Mike, Thanks for the explanation of how you did it. I hadn't been able to find how to dismantle the top case in my service manual, but since getting your post, I went out to the bike and studied the rear light panel and, since you had talked about removing it, found the pair of plastic...

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Thanks Mike, I appreciate that help. Just to make sure I'm understanding you - I think there was a typo. Were you saying you ..."do it with the rear light panel off"...? Regards, Patrick

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Hello Jetfixer, Your 02-21-2021, 06:01 PM post about fixing a hard-to-open topcase cover sounds as though you know how those mechanisms work. I've recently traded my 10yo 2014 RTL for a 2021 RTL and the top case lid is quite hard to latch. I have to SLAM it much harder than feels safe for the...

Rear tire disappointment - OEM Tire worn out already!

Hello Pete, I'm completely sold on the car tire. I had a General Altamax rear tire on my 2014 when I traded it. Thought you might find interesting the tire tread monitoring chart I began to use after I installed the General tire on the rear. I must confess, though, I was not trending towards...

Rear tire disappointment - OEM Tire worn out already!

Hello DGoebel, When I saw your rear tire photo, I realized it was just like my first rear tire, a factory Kenda. If you remember, what tire pressure were you using? Or were you using the BRP-recommended 28, psi? Do you usually ride double? I just bought a new-to-me 2021 RTL with 5380 miles...

How do you get Codes to show on a GS's screen?

Thank you Pete. I knew you'd have the answer. Just viewed the video from 2:00 till Rykers. Looks like good info. Now to take my computer into the garage and try it on the Spyder while I watch the video. Thanks again. BTW, I spent a fine 5-day R&R get-away in Sydney in mid-1970. I'd like...

How do you get Codes to show on a GS's screen?

Hello again Snowbelt Spyder, You helped me out in January with the above instructions on how to get error codes on my 2014 RTL. I just traded my faithful 2014 for a new-to-me 2021 and need to call up codes on the 2021; however, the 2 buttons I used to hold while depressing the turn signal button...

Any other Spyder Riders in Cumming, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, & Alpharetta?

Thanks for the info. I've already gotten that rec and have had work done there recently. They seem to be quite competent folks and a good place to get work done. Patrick

Any other Spyder Riders in Cumming, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, & Alpharetta?

I'd like to hear who/where if you find them, but I'm just delighted to find out, for now, where I can get my 2014 RTL serviced when it turns 11 yo. Mountain Motor Sports told me they wouldn't touch it after Dec 31 of this year. Patrick

No, it's the 2014 RTL, first year w/the 1330 ACE engine.

Atlanta, GA Spyder maintenance - they won't work on bikes over 10 years old!

I like your solution. That's what I'm trying to do by publishing my concern on this forum. Atlanta metro is too big a place to NOT have several outfits that do exactly what your "find" does in Maine. I have a Ryker-riding friend who's a retired Marine jet engine mechanic who has done some...

Atlanta, GA Spyder maintenance - they won't work on bikes over 10 years old!

Didn't think to ask that; however, I'll bet that if I wanted to buy a 2024 Sea to Sea or that brand new beautiful white Goldwing they have on the floor, they'd be glad to take a 2008 Spyder in trade.
