• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Air horns for RS

I mounted my Stebel Nautilus in the OEM horn location. Drilled small hole in frunk as the air horn intake was pressing against the wall. Whatever brand you buy, if there is an interposing relay in the install kit replace it with a Jegs WATERPROOF relay. My standard relay shorted two hours after...

Looking for some tech advise while ryding my GS. I have a Scala G4 headset, Zumo 550 GPS and iPhone 5. I'd like to pair everything so I can listen to iPhone music but have the Zumo override with spoken instructions, the. Return to music automatically. I haven't found the right pairing...

ECM Electronic Control Module gone bad at 18000 miles

If they told her two cylinders were not firing when the engine only HAS two cylinders, they were trying to steal from her. That's as flagrant as telling someone they need to change the air in their tires.

    Lubricating cables

Consider also mounting an expanding spring to the latch pin. I have one on the seat and frunk pins, secured with RTV, that cause the frunk lid and seat to pop up when released. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newbie with a couple questions

BUDS is BRP's proprietary control module interface. Dealers use to analyze, troubleshoot and issue state commands and parameters to the various control modules. "Farkle" is a combination of two words "f^cking" and "sparkle," used as you indicated to describe add-ons, usually chrome (hence the...

Something that bit me with an intermittent misfire issue, be sure to check the negative cable anchor point under the seat. If that connection is not super tight it will cause problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Spyder models

There was a lawsuit with Mitsubishi over the original "Spyder GS" name, as Mitsubishi already had a car out by that name. Settled by BRP changing "GS" to "RS." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2 1/2 years later, still having DPS and stalling issues...

Here goes nothing - this is my first reply to a post, hope it works. please bear with me. For almost two years I had a problem with my [purchased used] 2008 GS "hiccuping" at engine speeds >5000 RPM. Battery light would flicker, battery tender gave the unit a full charge. Dealer read BUDS...

2008 GS "hiccup" at highway speeds

Problem Solved Thanks to everyone who responded. The final solution (well, it's held for 300 miles) came from Lamont. I needed to tighten the main frame / battery ground bolt. The connection was not loose enough to budge by bare hand, but would move with slight pressure from wrench. So...

2008 GS "hiccup" at highway speeds

Coz - thanks for the research. I've checked the ground connections that I've found, wire brushed or sanded the metal surfaces to make shiny. Cleaned battery terminals as well. I'll see what I turn up on the shifter. Whatever it is, it's not registering as a system fault Sent from my iPhone...

2008 GS "hiccup" at highway speeds

Update - up to almost 9500 miles. Hiccup continued to come and go. Took to dealer for gas cap recall, they scanned BUDDS and said bad rear wheel speed sensor. That was the only stored error code. Replaced both sensors, no change. Removed evaporation canister, replaced spark plugs and wires, no...

Mounted mine close to original location, drilled a hole into the frunk to provide unrestricted air flow to the compressor. Occasionally only get one of the two tones, otherwise very happy. Only thing better would be air horn from locomotive! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2008 GS "hiccup" at highway speeds

I've owned my 2008 GS since 13 JAN 2012 (yes it was Friday the 13th). The unit had less than 2500 miles. This season with just at 7500 miles, I've had an occasional "hiccup" when ryding above 65 mph, and "hiccup" is the best I can describe it. It's almost like a sudden release and restore of...
