• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Hand Guards and Heated Seat Pads do you guys have on an F3 Limited? Any ideas?

Hoping to make it to Sturgis/Yellowstone/Grand Tetons this year, coming from Atlanta. I'd love to have a heated seat pad just in case it gets chilly on some of our rides; I don't want to drop a grand or more on a seat since I'd rarely use it once back home in the South. Ideas? I'd also like to...

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

Thanks to everyone for their tips and advice. I ended up taking it to the dealer. Since it's still under warranty I figured I'd let them handle it rather than waste my time trying to figure it out. I'll definitely post back with the results. Happy ryding!

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

I'm about to run it around the block a few times, then up to the dealer. It's still under warranty so hopefully it won't hurt too much. I'll report back with what I find out. Wish me luck, and thanks to all for your help!

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

Still nothing. It's never an easy fix, is it? :sour:

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

Just tried that--no luck. I'm assuming these three buttons are to be pressed simultaneously when the Spyder is running in neutral? Does it need to be in a different gear, or some other mode? I appreciate your help!

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

Thanks; just checked 'em, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Dead Battery Recharged; Now Digital Display Won't Work

So I managed to kill the battery over the winter by not putting it on a charger soon enough. Over the last few days I have managed to charge the battery enough so it will start, but the Digital Display/Multifunction Gauge won't work. You can tell there's some light behind it (it's a very light...

    Question

Did you replace it yourself? If so, about how long did it take you? And if you took it to your dealer, can you give me an idea what the charge is, roughly? I'm trying to decide which route to take myself, weighing the cost vs. time factor.... Thanks!

    Tri Axis Adjustable Handlebar

Luvs2Ride: what was the difference in handling, and what did you do to adjust it? I really, really, REALLY want to get the tri-axis bars before I go to Panama City Beach next month, but I don't want to set myself up for a bizzarro ride if I don't have time (or the know-how) to make adjustments...

Atlanta to New Hampshire Trip Planned: What to Do/See?

I'm planning a trip from Atlanta to New Hampshire in October to do some leaf-peeping. I'm hoping to take my time getting up there by riding via the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, then staying a couple of days in the Poconos of PA before heading up to NH. Any thoughts, advice, or...

    Swerving.. Spyder or human error?

Really? Do they make that much of a difference? Just trying to figure out if it's worth replacing the shocks if it means not having the Spyder to ride for a few days. I find I go into withdrawal pretty quick.....

Tri-State Girls On Spyders - NC, SC & GA

Hi there! I'm pretty new at the Spyder thing (only 800 miles so far, but accumulating them fast!). I'm in Norcross, GA and would love to get to know some fellow lady riders, and maybe go for a spin up in the mountains one of these days soon.

    Swerving.. Spyder or human error?

This is actually one of the things I like most about the Spyder (assuming that road conditions are, in fact, causing this effect). The sway at highway speeds feels like riding a horse to me. :D

    Swerving.. Spyder or human error?

I'm about due for my 600 mile service and after reading this thread I'm scared to death! What's a reasonable amount to pay for this service? Were any of you fed any lines of BS that I need to be aware of such as, "Your divariable veeblefritzer is already worn out. A replacement will cost $1000."...

What Do You Use for Cleaning, and How Do You Go About It?

Wow! Lots and lots of great info. Thanks to everyone for your tips and suggestions. I ended up going with the Meguiars/Plexus for now since I already had it and have used it on my bikes with success. Once I'm out, I'll try a couple of the other things mentioned and see how they do. Once...

What Do You Use for Cleaning, and How Do You Go About It?

When I picked it up I heard the sales guy ask somebody if mine was ready, and he said, "Yep, all cleaned and ready to go! I pulled it around front for you." But when I was ready to leave with it, another guy came and asked for the keys to the corral because it was still locked up around the back...

What Do You Use for Cleaning, and How Do You Go About It?

Thanks, guys! I'm getting ready to pull it out now. I already have the Meguiar's, a toothbrush (for the footpegs) and some q-tips (for the dust I've seen in some of little screwholes on the dash) so I'll start with that and see where we go from there. Oh, and I've got the RT (thought that showed...

What Do You Use for Cleaning, and How Do You Go About It?

Hi all! I'm brand new to the Spyder phenomenon, so I hope you can offer some advice. I picked up my new 2012 last Tuesday and have already put about 250 miles on it. I'm loving it! My question is, it's pretty dirty from sitting out on the dealer's lot for two years (yes, I got a good deal on...
