• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No more ECO mode for me!

Last month Traffic was stopped on the highway for road construction. I decided to go inro the settings and fiddle a bit while waiting. After a bit traffic began to move slowly and then it was time to "go". Holy crap, something was seriously wrong with the spyder, it was like I now had a tank of...

A question for riders in Canada

As others have posted, not just a highway tool but are good to go around town at 40-60k. Just remember to keep the revs up on the 998 engine. I too noticed the speeds mentioned south of the border. For most of Canada our top posted speed is 110kph (68 mph) although there are highways in BC...

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

I wouldn't spend much time worrying about it. I read similar threads and many 'issues' threads before I bought my first Spyder in 2013. I still bought it! I don't disagree with the above but I am just going to jump on my Spyder and ride. I will have to admit that my dealer experience to...

    Took a demo ride today

I spoke briefly to a couple in a Slingshot in Aulds Cove NS about 10 days ago, might have been them, they were headed east, I was headed west. They were certainly smiling, and had a smile for the Spyder. They were travelling with some 2 wheelers. I think the Slingshot is neat though not for...

    Cabot Trail 2016 ride

There is great riding up the coast of Maine. An option is to take the ferry from Portland to Yarmouth NS then take highway 3/103 along the south shore to Halifax. From there you could take Highway 7 along the eastern shore to Antigonish then on to the Trail. My preference is to ride the trail...

    An Illuminating question

Pam, he has an ST with the 998 engine, first service is at 600mi. The 1330 engine is in the 14/15 RT's and the F3 with first service at 3000 mi. Pete, I don't have an ST but I would think they should be lit.

    What are these?

They are indeed. Had then a few weeks myself before I figured out what they were. They were the rear wheel caps that were removed to install the hitch. So if the front ones fall out you now have the spares, same caps. So, yep keep them.
