• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2019 RTL flashing 'Suspension fault' - what's an 'Air Dampener Kit'?

My dash flashes "Suspension Fault" (failure). I rode to the dealer and they tell me that I need an "Air Dampener Kit". Not sure what that is? $772.43 quote. Ouch!

I gave up trying to pair my phone with the 2019 RTL dash gps... never could figure it out and was disappointed when I learned I had to purchase sygic or another. I miss my garmin. Y'all have any recommendations? I'm looking at the Zumo XT. TIA

Sway bar - is this upgrade worth it?

On my 2012 RT, I installed a sway bar, didn't really notice any improvement. Installed Elkas and was a happy camper, made all the difference. On my 2019 RT I've done nothing, it rides great.

    Windshield control arm

The windshield control arm that adjusts the height broke in half on my 2012 RTS. The dealer estimates $800-850 to replace. I'd like to find that part and do it myself. Anyone done this and have suggestions/advice? ie... where to buy the part and labor involved? TIA

    2012 Spyder RT-S used...now what?

Welcome to the Spyder Ryders! You're gonna love it! I have Web Boards on mine... I think they're still made, different name? The others mentioned on here are undoubtedly good as well. I have a Garmin GPS, highly recommended. Elka Shocks! (you won't need a sway bar). Let us know as you...

Tire Question - Yeah I searched. 2010 RT-S, what to get?

I too researched the board tire threads and went prepared to the tire store to buy some replacements. The dealer is a biker as well and showed me several other brands that he thought better, which I purchased and have been a happy camper since. They were a brand I'd never heard of but there...

    Surging, any ideas?

Appreciate your explaining that to me. I was perplexed by what he said about the plugs, never heard of that before. Now I'm curious about what the other posts might mean about the purge solenoid? Plan to ride it next week and see if it acts up... hope not. Thanks again! Bill

    Surging, any ideas?

That's a thought Vacuum lines could be the culprit, thanks for the input. Wouldn't think the lines would be bad on a 2 year old bike, BUT... something is causing this and that could be. After the shop changed plugs, it ran great until my last ride, day before yesterday, when it surged once...

    Surging, any ideas?

Surging Gas makes sense but I've gone through several tanks at different dealers. I always run 89 -93 octane. Could've been some water? Hope I'm on the other side of this issue! Appreciate your thoughts.

    Surging, any ideas?

I have a 2016 RT Limited, I recently rode from Asheville, NC to Ohio. While up there riding the back roads, the bike started surging. Not a constant, but seemed to increase after being ridden awhile. It concerned me enough that I took it into a dealer in Burbank (?) to see if they could...

    NOVA SCOTIA

Trip questions Dan, when I went up a couple years ago, I never swapped money for Canadian, my cell phone worked fine and the fee was negligible. Alexander Graham Bell museum was interesting. You can take a boat ride out to his summer house. I suggest doing the Cabot Trail in both directions...

    NOVA SCOTIA

Nova Scotia Glad to hear you're going! Cape Breton is awesome. I recommend traveling it twice, once each direction... it really is like a new road. If you can, do it in the evening... lots of wildlife. I'm envious! Enjoy! Bill

Will my 2012 Ultimate Seat Swap onto my new 2016 RT?

I own 2012 RTS with an Ultimate seat on it... love it. Recently bought a 2016 RTL with stock seat. Will my old Ultimate seat interchange with the 2016? Anybody know? I can ask Ultimate or the dealer, just thought someone here might know? TIA

    The Search Continues

Nice Bike I have the 2012, bought it new. Nice bike. Probably have 36,000 miles on it and I think it's just broken in. Plan on putting at least one number in front of that odometer reading! Enjoy!

    Fuel Mileage 2013 RTS

Typical My 2012 RTS gets between 25-32 on a good day. I too did the K&N, not sure a PC would help, never heard encouraging words on the forum. Let me know if you get one and it helps. Like the other post suggests, the 1330 provides the solution. I'm just not ready to bite the bullet.
