• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spark plug choice

I have a 2013 RTL / 998 and decided to go with the E3 plugs. I ran E3 plugs in my Vmax for years and really liked them. I run the E3 plugs in all of my vehicles and equipment. For plug wires I got them from Baja Ron. Defiantly do the wires when you do the plugs. It is pretty tight in there...

    Newfoundland and Labrador Trip

If you are thinking of doing Newfoundland in the month of August of 2017 my wife and I may be interested in joining a small group for the trip. We were planning a trip in late summer of 2017 to the "rock" . Probably 2 or 3 weeks actually on the island. We have started planning but would be...

    Installed headlights tody

LEd Fog Lights Eh Larry ... Mr. Bill here. I installed the Xenondepot headlights and fog lights just before we headed to Spyderquest in September. Boy what improvement over stock bulbs. Biggest difference was the headlights for distance and brightness but the fog lights were an...

What does the average Spyder Owner pay for insurance in Canada?

Been riding here in southern Ontario since 1965. Paying about $1000.00 for my 2013 Rt. Ltd. full coverage. Intact wants a bit more to insure my 1994 Vmax that's worth a fraction of the cost. We have our house, two other vehicles and our business insurance with them. I think the cost depends...

    Cat Bypass Pitbull vs SpyderAttitude

All bypasses are not created equal As important as technical differences, quality customer satisfaction and service may be the first thing to consider when looking for a product. Two years ago when I purchased my bypass, there was only one manufacturer and to this day I have regretted my...

    Cat removal question

Eh Brian .... I replaced my cat bypass on my 998 RT. myself and it is a very straight forward job. Just remove the muffler then the cat, the new cat bypass should then clamp right on. Making one yourself may prove to be quite a job. Tolerances and room are very tight. Yes the exchange sucks...

    Needed: Flexible Helmet Lock Extender

What I found that works to lock the helmets and leave them on the seats was a "cable luggage lock" . Google it or check with your local luggage shop. The TSA cable locks sell for about $8.00. Leaving the helmets on the seat does not mark up the side panels and keeps people off your Spyder while...

    ambient temp gauge

I am sorry as well, I had a rain day here and thought I would spend a bit of time looking around Spyder Lovers. I probably should have just let your little Canadian jab about "Canadians cannot do temperatures" slide...... Oh yea, your " great American Philosopher Red Green" is Canadian. Born...

    ambient temp gauge

We Canadians do just fine with temperatures thanks....... 40 Fahrenheit in Niagra Falls NY and 3 Celsius in Ontario is only 2 degrees F. difference. Some of us can do conversion and some of us cannot. Also depending on wind direction on the lake those two cities ( only a few miles apart )...

    Hitch Mounted Platform

D.I.Y. Hitch Platform I have just finished putting together a hitch rack for our trip to Spyderfest. Debbie says she needs more luggage space so I made the rack to fit a standard airline carry on size bag. The bag does not hide the plate. The wiring on the 2013 Rt. is a square 4 prong. I...

    Pitbulls secret SPYDERFEST pie run

Maybe not to early? I see after checking the events schedule for this years Spyderfest there will be a "PIT BULL SECRET PIE RUN" Friday night at 10:00 pm. They have shown to meet at the fairgrounds so I guess maybe this year no one is taking a head count to get those pies and ice cream ready...
