• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2023 RT Side Luggage won't open any hints/help please?

A friend has a 2023 RT Limited and the side luggage compartment will not open. It is not locked but the cable (probably) is so tight that she can’t even move the latch to open it. Help please?! Explain like I know nothing about any kind of mechanics (because I barely know how to use a...

What does the average Spyder Owner pay for insurance in Canada?

Hey there! Would anyone like to help update this thread? My insurance is due in July and would like to see what others are paying around Ontario for their Spyders. Last year I paid $1168.00 for my 2010 RTS-S. Clean slate as far as accidents or tickets. Currently with Intact. Thanks to any and...

    "normal operating temperature"

Once again, I am the newbie, but.... When checking the oil level, instructions state that the engine must be at "normal operating temperature" before you start the engine, wait for 30 seconds, then check the oil level. What does this mean? The engine is 3 or 4 bars from running, or cold...

    Hex Screws

Pardon my non "tech" terms. I am not very mechanical. 1. Does anyone know what "size" and thread the hex screws are that hold the mirror "arms" on? I have a 2010 Spyder RS SE5. The hex screws need tightening and the previous owner has burred them over. I am sure I can get them out, but not...

    Some HD riders are IDIOTS!!

It's HOGfest in Windsor We shall see about the "waving"! Over 1000 riders in town for the weekend. Harley Owners only! I am hoping that it's not a "herd" mentality when they drive by. Up until now (including this morning) the HD riders have waved way more often than not! :2thumbs:

    Some HD riders are IDIOTS!!

Perhaps it's a "regional" thing? I have only had my Spyder for about 10 days, but have ridden it every day and have never had anyone not wave (unless it was in the middle of traffic, etc). All sorts of bikes and all sorts of riders. I find the HD riders around here some of the best. Then...

    Question??? With all respect.

Preference is like an Opinion Neither can be wrong. If you prefer the Spyder (which I do), then I am safe in my preference. If you prefer a "2 wheeler", then you are safe in your preference. The wonderful thing about preferences or opinions, you don't have to prove them to anyone. They...

    Suggestion for battery charger

I am reading through the forums and want to be "pro-active" with my Spyder. I know I will need to purchase a battery charger (especially for the winter). I already have leads connected to my current battery (supplied by my dealer). So, what are the best choices for a charger? I have started...

    A Noob question

Took some advice I contacted Baja Ron and he has been excellent with his responses. So nice to be part of a community that helps! I am fresh out of Panda tears, personally, so I will just have to go with the oil and filters recommended by Ron. Many thanks to all that responded!

    A Noob question

I just purchased a used 2010 RS SE5 and am looking for oil. I have read the handbook and it states not to use anything with an SM API on it. I have found a synthetic 5W40 with an SM, SL/CF on it. The handbook say we can use an SL, but am concerned about the SM on it as well. Can I use this...
