• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why is there a removable Rear fender tip on the Canyons?

Alright Canyoneers, there appears to be a removable tip on the bottom of the rear fender. Why?

Traded my 2019 Ryker Rally for a New Canyon Standard - First Impressions

I traded my 2019 Ryker Rally on a Canyon std model yesterday. My selection of the std model over the XT or RR is due to my needs. I never ride with a passenger, and can add heated driver grips, back-up camera, and luggage and still come out about $1500 below the XT or $6,000 below the RR. I can...

Any aftermarket scan tools that work with the Ryker?

I know the DynoJet Powervision will communicate with the Ryker and allow changes to the ECM. However, the Powervision is $400 and I have no intention of installing a tune. Really all I would like to do is read any error codes and turn off maintenance required messages. I replaced my own CVT...

Will Baker Built Air Wings reduce wind noise and buffeting?

I am still working to reduce wind noise and buffeting at highway speed on my Rally model. I purchased a CalSci windshield soon after i realized that the BRP sport windshield wasn't all I wanted. Although it reduced most of my helmet buffeting the wind noise continues. I wear custom ear plugs...

Headlight adjustment procedures: owners manual is backward

The identification of vertical and horizontal headlight aim adjusters in the 2019 and 2020 Ryker owners manuals are reversed. The upper outside (nearest the tire) adjustment stem (#1 in the owners manual) is actually for vertical adjustment. The lower inside (nearest the engine) adjustment...

    Where is everybody?

I know it is winter but there hasn't been any activity on this forum since the 5th. Isn't somebody doing something interesting that is Ryker related?

    Cross Style replacement bars

Can-Am is offering two different style replacement handlebars for the Ryker (sport and cross style). I am wondering about the cross style bars. Are they higher, wider, more pull back than the stock bars? Can-Am doesn't provide any details comparing them to the stock bars except a claim about...

    Ryker on a trailer?

Has anyone hauled the Ryker on a utility trailer? Was there any problem making the break over at the top of the ramp? I noticed that Tractor Supply has a 6 x 8 utility trailer with a 4' ramp that looks like it might work.

    Rattle and Hum

OK I admit it. Rattles, buzzes, squeaks any other type of miscellaneous sounds really bother me; its my OCD. Anyway I am on a one (retired) man mission to identify and correct all the extraneous non internal-combustion noises in my Rally model. With all the plastic body panels this will be a...

    Vibrating plastic panels

I am trying to track down the source of vibration and buzzing of the plastic body panels on my Rally model. Ideally I would like to hear more of the motor and less of the cacophony of plastic parts. Anyone have success in identifying the offending parts and either fixing them in place or...

    Hot ankles

I ride with the foot pegs all the way forward. Now that air temperatures are approaching the 90's here in East Texas I have noticed a lot of engine heat on my ankles and lower legs while riding. There is also substantial heat coming through the hole in the front of the seat and you know where...

    Wonky tires on Rally

My schedule and my dealers schedule finally intersected and I was able to get the front end on my Rally aligned today. Handling is now razor sharp with no "crazy squirrel" darting around on the road. Unfortunately, my tire imbalance issue still exists; wheels vibrate and bounce at 45-55 mph. My...

    Wasted Power in 900?

OK, I agree that burning the rear tire and incredibly quick roll on are cool and all, but is that extra power wasted? If the gear and CVT ratios are so low relative the engine torque curve that the rear tire breaks loose under anything but very gentle throttle application, what is the point? I...

    Rally in the rain

I wanted to get over with my 200 mile break in period on my Rally today. Problem was, it is raining so I figured screw it and went out anyway. Here are my observations: Even in economy mode the rear end will walk out from a stop in the rain if you accelerate hard -- no surprise there. It...

    YellaCat is home; almost

I was disciplined and got trout stocked at two ponds before I went by the dealer. YellaCat was ready and I had a nice ride back to the office. It is really hard not to get on and go for a long ride; it is currently 75 and sunny after a stupid amount of rain. There will be time. I was really...

    LED Ayxilarry Light?

Has anybody installed and tested the LED Auxiliary Light yet? It is supposed to be only 2,500 lumens which is not much more than a really bright flashlight. I wondered how much they help at night...

    600 vs 900 CVT

Does anyone know if the 600 and 900 use the same CVT variatior setup; springs, weights, clutches? In one post about the 600 the owner reported 5,900-6,100 RPM at 60 MPH and 6,500 RPM at 75 MPH (two up). Others have posted 5540 RPM at 60 MPH and 6,380 at 75 MPH with the 900 (load not specified)...
