• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does this Belt Tensioner Idler Stabilizer Roller look familiar? Are any parts (Rollers) interchangeable??

Is there a good reason why the tensioner rollers are so small? Yes - cheap! The PUX524 roller is 76MM OD and has a 6203 bearing. Work that out for rpm. 😁

Does this Belt Tensioner Idler Stabilizer Roller look familiar? Are any parts (Rollers) interchangeable??

An old bloke, well, a bloke older than me, 75, asked me fit a new rear tyre to his F3. I've done a few on my old GS and for other owners around town using a 205/55-15, which is the same diameter as the stock tyre and about a quarter the price of the OEM Kenda. Anywho, when checking out the...

What tips/Snags will a local motorcycle tire shop need/meet doing a Spyder Rear Tire replacement?

... but before you do that, mark the pulley and hub with a felt tip pen so that they go back together in the same position, otherwise accessing the valve could be troublesome - assuming that the pulley was correctly oriented beforehand. And if it has air suspension, disconnect the ride-height...

Anyone got info on the New Kenda Kanine Rear Tire for 2013 RT-S?

The stock Kenda. Motorcycle parts for any brand are much more costly down here.

Anyone got info on the New Kenda Kanine Rear Tire for 2013 RT-S?

I rang my local Spyder dealer yesdy to get the price of a new rear tyre, just out of curiosity - AU$359.80 plus fitting. I use and fit 205/55-15, which are the same diameter as the stock tyre and being 20mm approx narrower give clearance for the lower stone guard - about $140.

Anyone have a pic of an RT S2S backrest retaining clip fitted in position on the underside of the seat?

Asking for a friend - who earlier this year purchased the new trike with the backrest retaining clip in a parts bag in the frunk. When he asked the salesman what it was for, he said: it's for the backrest! Anyhow, this friend has asked to see if I could fit it for him, but alas, neither the...

2011 RSS. Has a squeaking sound in the lower left rear at lower speeds - any ideas what it might be?

The sprocket bearing is a double row bearing because it takes the stress of the belt tension. This bearing can get a little loose in the sprocket/pulley. Grab the pulley and 6 and 12 o'clock positions and wobble it see if it has movement. This happened to mine many moons ago. See reply 3...

Probably - that's a question for BRP to answer definitively. Any other response is guesswork - like mine.

Where is the ECU on a 2008 Spyder GS? Any hints on how to remove it?

    Gear position sensor behind sprocket

Rickylux said: Can anyone indicate a parts supplier please? Answer to that is - I doubt it as it's probably a part of the eng wiring harness. See reply 14 - replaced mine in 2012 for same reason as in reply 2, and it's still perfect.

08 GS Manual won't go into Reverse - any ideas?

Get an assistant perhaps to operate the R lever while you look under the trike on the left side to see if the small lever attached to the bottom end of the cable is moving easily. When you put it into 1st does the trike want to lurch forward a bit? If so, there's a clutch issue which would...

HELP! I threaded the transmission hex bolt! Will JB Weld help get it out?? What else might work?

In a perfect world perhaps so, but when snugged up I've not encountered it coming loose.

After owning 3, lack of dealer support is forcing me to give up on Spyders!

Do yourself a favor Gerald and keep the one you have. Going back to a big 2-wheeler ain't going to give you the satisfaction you've enjoyed on your Spyders.
