• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    fog lights.... who has them?

I just had the NMN headlights installed by my dealer and I have one with a blueish tint and the other is white. Cost me 80.00 to install, so emailed NMN and they said it is possible that one may be installed at an angle or another remote possibility is the bulbs might be different. Very...

    "SCOTTY COME BACK"

This is one man that I respected. His posts made sense and I followed a lot of them. it's strange, but just over the week end I decided to park my four wheels and ride just the :spyder2: to see if I have any "major" problems. I can undertand someone with "major" problems, but I think they...

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

Went for a test run yesterday. Rough roads, crowned roads, lots of twisties and freeway. Ran like a champ. I love my :spyder2:.

XOPRODOX Grips: So Far, So Good!

I put a pair with the spider webs on them. I had little allen screws that I tightened mine up with and have had no problems. Do get quite a few remarks of the looks.

    GPS Question

I have just mounted a handlebar mount with a slide on and off plate (plastic). I have a Garmin nuvi 880 which I would like to attach to same. It doesn't say it is "motorcycle friendly", but I wonder if I would have any problems with the inner parts due to the rougher ride on a Spyder? Are the...

    Are these good floor boards?

I have had the ICI floorboards for months now and use them to mount and dismount from the Spyder. I have a long torso, but short legs. Before I would scrape the seat with my foot everytime I tried to get on. Now even tho I weigh over 250 #, I have no problems, and the floorboards are straight as...

    Battery tender? Looking for recommended

Sorry for the confusion mix up. I went to you site and looked at your set up without looking at Dltang's again. After looking at both again, I edited my original statement that they were in two different locations. Thanks for the switched and unswitched information. I am having my dealer do the...

    Battery tender? Looking for recommended

I am installing the Evolunize power bus. May seem like a stupid question, but what do you mean and how do you have one unswitched and the other (I assume) would be switched?:helpsmilie:

Let me just say I'm not happy either

Lamont: I use this site daily and even though I don't always log in, I have received so much useful information that has saved me much grief and money. I have even asked my dealer several time to look at a certain thread when I have work done on the Spyder. In fact, just this morning I emailed...

    Battery tender? Looking for recommended

I use a Battery Tender and am going to try a new attachment approach. I ordered 2 Powerlets which I want to install similar to Dltang's and a cable with a battery charger plug in on one end. Don't know how it will work, but should be OK.

    Power outlets installed

Thanks to all for the advice.:2thumbs: I have ordered two of the Powerlets and a cable that I can plug a regular cigarette lighter fixture in if needed.

    Power outlets installed

The catch is that the powerlets are a smaller outlet and plug then the automotive 12v, so you have to modify some things to work with them or pay the extra coin for a pre-made power lead for your specific GPS, etc. I have the power bus and the sway bar, but not the powerlets. Must be getting...

    Spyder Loyalty

I agree completely with NEEZ. With all the "safety" features on the Spyder, it would seem that the "tort lawyers" would have more of a field day if an accident was caused by one of these features going bad.:dontknow:

DPS update #2 vent hose request

Could someone tell me if there is a name for "update #2"? I called my dealer this morning and he had never heard of it. He went online somewhere that BRP posts and said he could not find it. I even got a letter from BRP for the first recall. Is there a web page where he could find any...

    Power outlets installed

Absolutely ZERO problems with the Evoluzione Powerbus to date. At one time, Ken was talking about offering a fuseblock with a built in ground bus. Maybe he hasn't done that. :dontknow: I ended up buying a small ground bus at a local store (maybe a Radio Shack, can't quite remember) and screwing...

    Power outlets installed

I am thinking of doing the same thing on my 09 Spyder. Since it has been a while from your original post, I wonder if you have had any problems yet? I have emailed Ken asking a couple of questions, but wonder do they make more than one type of power bus since you said to order the one with the...

    Billet Garmin Zumo Mount

I have a Garmin that has a ball type mount. This is the reason I ordered two of the Techmount 60003 parts. I hope I can permanently attach the ball mount to the top of this and "slide" it off when not needed. Not sure if it will work, but worth a try.
