• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Filler up?

BRP recommends using the auto shutoff. There is a small hole near the end of the nozzle on the back. When it is covered with gas it shuts off. So insert the nozzle about 1.5 inches past the baffle on the fill pipe. Fill slowly.

N00b saying hello and looking for your thoughts on a RT

Buy new, either a 2013 RT base model with SE5 or a 2012 leftover. Our 2013 RT base with SE5 was $24800 OTD. There were 2012 leftovers for $2000 less. The Spyder is about as reliable as a Harley or BMW, about 25 percent will have a major problem. So you definitely want a good warranty. But we...

I'm so mad at myself. May have to be in hospital for back surgery ....

My wife got a few weeks relief with the injections, but the neurosurgeon cured the pain completely in one day with outpatient surgery and very short recovery period.

What do YOU want to tell BRP at the Owner's Event?

Buttons with better feel for the radio and menu. More visible yellow turn signals on front of mirror. Three year full warranty. An engine that runs at lower rpm and is quieter. Otherwise the Spyder is a good value.

Regret buying this piece so crap !

I understand your frustration and am glad you posted. The only reason there is a lemon law for cars is that people spoke out. There should be a lemon law for all expensive products. Too bad some want to shoot the messenger. We have had no problems so far with our 2013 RT SE5 and hope you get...

    Wanting A Passenger's Perspective

My wife loves the comfort and security of our 2013 RT SE5. The 2013 corrected some problems with earlier models. She has no problem with wind or corners. That said we also like the GW1800 trike, but it was not worth the extra $10,000 to us. Our 2013 was $24,800 OTD and $750 for the extended...

    Riding Jackets in the Summer

Draggin jeans and shirt are ok for Summer. But I just wear regular lightweight clothes or I would get heat exhaustion in Florida Summers.

2012 Rt Limited Grill - Right side upper and lower...

We have an upper grill on the right on our 2013 RT. No lower grill but I think BRP left it off to avoid overheating in Summer when stopped. I think an auxillary fan comes on if needed.

We have the white ones on the nose and the rear brake light which fits seamlessly into the trunk. A well made product that enhances safety.

Not the color I wanted but pulling the trigger tomorrow

If you are going to add fender lights which are yellow and red, they will look better against the blue.

    Shifting the SE5

Reviews in several motorcycle magazines commented that there is a solid clunk when shifting. I shift around 4500 rpms, sometimes smoothly, sometimes with a slight jolt. I think you are correct that rolling off the throttle a little would help. As others suggested I will try shifting at higher...

    2013 owners

The 2013 Spyder catalog , not the accessory catalog, shows a yellow RT-S with a lower right grill. There are holes for a grill on the right which are reverse of the left side. Turning the left grill upside down might fit the right. Anyway I thought the dealer had lost mine and was pretty upset...

    2013 owners

The 2013 Spyder catalog shows two grills on the throttle side of the RT one upper and one lower by your foot. Dealer says there is no lower grill anymore just an open space. Is this correct? Thanks

As I await patiently for the 13' version

We have a stock 2013 RT SE5 and it handles very well. I would find out wby you have problems with your Spyder before spending money on aftermarket sway bars.

    Filling gas tank

The Spyder manual recommends using the automatic shutoff on the nozzle to avoid overfilling the gas tank. Now after years of filling my motorcycle and car gas tanks, I finally discovered how the automatic shutoff on the gas pump works. There is a small hole on the back of the nozzle near the...
