• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Compressor

I have just replaced the compressor with the Viair 97. It pumps up the air bag great but is very loud. The old compressor wasn't even this loud when it went bad. Any body got words of wisdom? We rotated the pump 180° where the check valve points out.

    Compressor

I looked at the specs on this compressor and it says that it is 24 volts. I was expecting it to say 12 volts. My Spyder is a 2014 (I noticed yours is a 2013). Will this compressor that is a 24 volt compressor work on my 2014? Thanks again for advice.

Does something change at 5000 miles?

My 2014 RTL was like that. I don't remember the millage (but it was under 7,000) = the fuel economy went up 8-9 mpg (up to average 40-42 mpg), the bike got smoother...shifts and all. Everyone told me it was just break in period. I was happy whatever the reason. :ohyea:

    Torque settings for brake calipers

Hey I am changing my brake pads on my 2014 Spyder RT. Can anybody tell me the torque pressure for the caliper screws?

Questions - getting ready to try changing my own brake pads.

what about "turning" the disc rotors? As some of you probably know, with a car or truck disc brake, if the rotors get warped or grooved, the discs can be put on a lathe that shaves off the uneven surface. I've had this done many times with my cars or trucks through the years. Of course, you...

    New to 1330

My 2014 RTL made a huge jump in fuel economy after a few thousand miles. The first 5000 to 6000 miles the average was 32 mpg. After that, it jumped to 40 (with best ever at 44). It was almost like over night. Go figure...I was just happy when it increased. I've put almost 25,000 on it now and...

2013 RTL vs 2015 RTL which to buy

I would absolutely go with the 2015. It is far superior to the 2013. I've put 24,000 miles on my 2014 RTL. I sometimes ride with a friend who has a 2013... and not to put his bike down, but all of the Spyders (2013 back to the first productions) were a "work in progress", one improvement...

    Rt led fog light help

Oh yeah, the air intake: while I was struggling with my left fog light, I noticed that my air intake was not securely attached with the hose clamp...in fact it was just hanging there 70% unattached. So it was another good reason for DIY...I fixed it while there (and it too was a bit of a...

    Rt led fog light help

I changed all 4 of my headlights (including fog) out to LED's a few months ago. This is not a SIMPLE "change the light bulb" procedure that just takes a few mins. As I'm sure you have discovered, you have to remove multiple panels and parts to get to the lights!! And the left front fog light is...

    I HATE SNOW

Yep, upstate South Carolina you can ride year round (except some weeks along the way allowing for rain and some occasional ice or snow). Four seasons and the mountains are near by...history all around. Sorry, not trying to rub it in...but I do love where I live. Cheer up, not many weeks of...

    Compressor

Just wondering, have others had compressor problems (2014 RTL SE6). Had to put mine in the shop (under warranty thankfully) and have the compressor replaced at 23,000 miles. Man, when the compressor goes out, you'd think the whole underneath is ripping apart. It sounds terrible! Any way, just...
