• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I assume "they" is the dealer? Do dealers not have the ability to analyze BUDS data or was this something unusual that needed factory support?

    Baker Air Wings Review

Wife hated wind as a passenger on my Goldwing. Don't have a Spyder yet, but can I assume the Baker's are more effective at blocking wind on the passenger than the BRP Adjustable Side Wings?

Posting of Purchase Prices is often Meanigless and Counter Productive

I'll take one last shot at this because to me, posting prices can be less advantageous for the consumer. Some would argue it keeps dealers price competitive. I would say it more likely keeps them price consistent. Is it more desirable to have all dealers in an area charging roughly the same...

Posting of Purchase Prices is often Meanigless and Counter Productive

The salient point is we shoot ourselves in the foot when we pinpoint a dealer with very aggressive pricing. The more he gets singled out, the sooner it will stop. I have no problem posting prices if the dealership is not identified, but often wonder how accurate the number is. Yes I do think...

Posting of Purchase Prices is often Meanigless and Counter Productive

Meaningless because of so many variables. Buyers misrepresent what they bought or what they paid for it. "Out thr Door" may include tax, license and registration paid at the dealer in some states, but not allowed in others. Did the Buyer pay cash? If not did his "price" include loan fees...

If my wife would have let me buy a pretty bike like that I would have taken her out for Mother's Day breakfast at Cracker Barrel!

bike shut down while riding and not go into limp mode.and now have engine noise.

As a prospective Spyder customer coming from a Goldwing background, this scenario certainly makes me question why I would want to switch to a BRP product. Poor dealerships happen no matter which Manufacture they represent. Its unfortunate when someone has to find this out when faced with a...

    internal service record?

If you do your own service can you then take it to the dealer to have the BUDS updated? Will they charge you? Will they tell you your warranty may be voided without dealer service?

    Goldwing GL1500/GL1800 TRIKE vs RT

Oh Oh...Pit Bull...Pit Bull. I spoke too soon. Here comes the cheer leaders  Actually I did meet Len Damouth at Pit Bull and we spoke briefly as he and his store were being engulfed by Spyderfest attendees. Is that Ricky Len? Len Damouth's business card says he's the Owner. He looks...

    Goldwing GL1500/GL1800 TRIKE vs RT

Thanks for the great comments so far. When I started this thread I envisioned that it might result in "other brand" bashing or simply "cheerleading" for the home team. But what I see is honest and objective opinions mostly from those who can offer them from experience. I have long been a...

    Goldwing GL1500/GL1800 TRIKE vs RT

Some talk on here about transitioning between RT and Goldwing, but mostly it's about 2 wheel GW vs RT trike. I'd like to hear from Goldwing TRIKE riders who have switched to/from the RT. How would you compare the two as far as ride comfort and reliability? Lets stick to the GL1500/1800 TRIKES...

New guy with a 13 rt-s What problems have you guys had with your 13's

I'm not so brave. Prices on NEW 2013's seem to be discounted quite a bit. More than I expected, but maybe for the reason above. I took a demo ride at Spyderfest on a 2014 RT and liked it, but not the price of course. Wisdom from a couple Spyderfest riders was to look for a 2011/2012 RT if I...
