• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka Stages, which one is right? How much one can afford?

rear shocks According to John at Elka, the OEM rear shock can "die" around 12,000 to 15,000 miles. He said we will know it when it happens. That would be the time to consider the Elka rear shock. John also said that the Elka Stage 1+ front shocks raises the "A" arms (Articulating arms) about...

Elka Stages, which one is right? How much one can afford?

Just ordered Elkas! Just had a very very nice conversation with John aka Trooper at Elka Shocks. After hearing about my riding style and letting me ask question after question, he suggested Elka Stage 1+.........apparently 95% of the RT owners that buy Elka's, use these particular shocks. He...

Elka Stages, which one is right? How much one can afford?

With so many stages of Elka shocks, how does one decide which to purchase? Is the decision money driven? How is one "stage" better than another.

Russell Day Long vs Ultimate Seat for RTS

The main reason I was looking at the Russell Day Long seat is that they build it specifically for your "seating pleasure". Even though I have long legs (34" inseam) the current "butt bump" on the stock seat is just a bit too far back for the more aggressive driving we do. Even though my arms are...

Russell Day Long vs Ultimate Seat for RTS

Harry, I now have the AirHawk on my office chair. No matter how much air I let out of the AirHawk seat it put the top of my windscreen dead center of my vision line. I like to ride with the windscreen all the way up. I also ride with a large group of two wheelers and they LOVE twisties. Even...

Russell Day Long vs Ultimate Seat for RTS

I am considering getting a custom seat for my 2011 RTS-SE5. I've been looking at the Russell Day Long and Ultimate. The regular seat on the RTS is probably great for many people but I have a "boney butt" for lack of a better statement. Both seats appear worthy. The only thing that bothers me...

    gas mileage

I was actually getting in the high 30's and low 40's with mpg. I was loving it. Then it was time for an oil change and the things the dealer normally does on the first oil change after the 600 breakin change. I don't know what changed but my mpg have dumped. Can't figure it out. I will be going...

    Seat coming apart

Just called my dealer...........AGAIN Just called the owner of the dealership.......what a waste. I asked him what BRP said about my seat unraveling and he paused for a while, then regrouped and said just a minute and put me on hold. He comes back and said he sent an email to BRP weeks ago but...

    Seat coming apart

I bought my 2011 RTS SE5 in November of 2011. About 3 weeks to a month ago I noticed the stitching shredding where the horn meets the seat. I pointed that out to my dealer at my 3,000 + oil check and the other things they do during that visit.......$350 later!!!!!!!!!! I showed the owner the...

Spyder RT 2011 - Fuel Gauge
