• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    LED Mirror Turn signal lights

The instructions I gave above were not for an LED light string. I actually replaced my mirror.

    LED Mirror Turn signal lights

I just did mine as well. Because of my apprehension, I turned the task of opening up the mirror assembly over to my son-in-law who doesn't know how to delay gratification. He opened it up like a Christmas present. There are a couple of tabs you can coerce loose then get at the remaining tab...

    shock relocator

I'm with Chupaca - first the anti-sway bar, then the relocator; however, my 2,500 mile trip last week caused me to consider the Elkas. I'm on a 2012 RT-S and the front end bounced around quite a bit over rough roads. I want to get that under control and I believe the Elkas are the answer. As...

Spyder home. Only 1 trip issue (minor)

It sounds like the mirror is not all the way off, in which case Bob's/Scotty's advice will help you. I would recommend that you take advantage of having a loose mirror to familiarize yourself with the attachment/detachment process because if you do anything to the Spyder that requires removing...

Trip's Over and the Results Are In - Thanks Again J.T.

I agree, fill her up and run. The mileage was not going to stop me but it is a measure of optimizing the ride. I was impressed that the control module could adjust to the intake change and provide a noticeable difference in performance. Increased torque and better fuel mileage is a win-win...

Trip's Over and the Results Are In - Thanks Again J.T.

We cut the trip short by one day (eight instead of nine) and after getting home and unpacking, I had to run the mileage numbers. With 2225 miles of varying driving, i.e. interstate, gently rolling country roads, steep mountain climbs, high-speed twisty runs, and the gentle cruising of the Blue...

    Brakes

Hummm? Softness with brakes is not something that makes me feel comfortable so you are right to want to correct it. This makes me think that some air is in the lines and not a breakdown in the brake fluid itself. It could be that the only way to get the air out of a linked braking system is...

    Thank You J.T.

It was a challenge to get everything out. The top of the air box was easy. Disconnect the hose connecting the air box and resonator then start working on getting the base of the air box out (had to make one small cut in a upward extending, albeit useless protrusion). We actually took off the...

I've got some great news as I close out day three of my nine-day planned outing to North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and back to Georgia. As a reminder, this is my first outing of the year after getting the Spyder back together with mods and upgrades. One upgrade was J.T.'s breather mod...

    New Air Filter

The air filter kit has been sitting on the throttle body for some time waiting for the Spyder to be put back together and Saturday was its chance to impress me...and it did, and looked good in the process. I first noticed the increased noise on acceleration and a definite tug in the seat with...

    180 miles on a tank.

This is the only way I'd try to get 175 miles on a tank full. Now that I look at the picture of the spare can in the frunk, the whole image appears to be a gas-guzzling monster. How true...!

    Back In The Saddle, Again

Well, I rode my Spyder today for the first time since mid-January and I'm excited. The long saga is over. In the last 17 weeks I stripped the roadster down, sent the pieces to be chromed, waited 2 1/2 months longer than expected to get the pieces back, and finally, spent two evenings and all...
