• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Test Rode an 2016 F3T SE6 today

ECO Mode Thanks gents for this info, makes sense, because the ride just did not seem to match the specs. Seems BRP chose a somewhat non-intuitive message technique for ECO mode? This dealership handles every line of 2 wheelers, 4 wheel ATV, personal watercraft, etc. Oh, yeah, and Spyder...

    Test Rode an 2016 F3T SE6 today

Very different than my 2013 STS SE5, even realizing the totally different riding styles. Only 5 miles, so just a teaser. Better riding posture for long rides, for sure. Smoother ride, less chop. More stable tracking, maybe the additional weight? Less vibration. More shifting, the gear indicator...

Alignment Gurus, I have read a lot about Spyder alignments in this forum. There are many opinions, techniques, and suppliers that have posted a lot of information here. I have been reviewing this info and have a question, hopefully the knowledgeable folks here can give an accurate answer...

    Broken Nanny or sissy driving?

Looking for some info from all riders who tease Nanny. 2013 STS, no farkles to suspension, 17K miles, 230 pounds. Driving style is aggressive, but not foolhardy. I generally take posted curves 5-10 MPH over the posted speed, body lean is about 75% of maximum. I have broken the rear wheel...

2013 ST changing the handelbar level

Mount or bar??? Arachnoid, I guess they are on the bars, not the mount, I am pretty ignorant on specific Spyder terms.:dontknow: Here is a picture of the actual install: They work great for me, plus I ended up with places to mount GPS and future cup holder. FWIW, Spyderfish

    STS limited shifting issue..?

Snappy shifting Total agreement on the lazy thumb shift, quick jab makes for a clean engagement. :agree: Kinda tuff for me, I have a left thumb that has been shortened and bent by a table saw, I have to work at it. Not sure about RPM, but I have found that 1-2 seems cleaner at 27 MPH, 2-3...

    Up, but not out

2013 STS slight mod. After removing the air box, plenty of room. Moved canister from vertical nest, repositioned up above the tank level, fastened to the frame, horizontal orientation. Hoses seem OKAY, is this a problem? Machine runs well.

    MI SpyderLovers T-shirt

Shipping cost??? Thanx for setting this up, shirts look good. Default shipping for 2 shirts is $ 17, kind of high. Could not get the Fedex ground rate, I am going to call them tomorrow and see if there is a less expensive option. Spyderfish

Has Anybody tried one of these?

Tire inflator Got one as a gift 5 years ago. Used it on my bicycle and car for years, now on the Burp. Still working great, just used it today. Great tool, gauge is accurate. It is slower on larger car tires.

Will the real axle torque please stand up???

Lower Belt Tension Good info Blue Knight, thanks for the additional findings on the belt tension. Yes it does seem counter-intuitive, but so many things about the Spyder are very unconventional, this behavior is not surprising. Good to hear that the lower belt tension is working for you. I...

Will the real axle torque please stand up???

Buzzz, we have a winner -- 166 N-m (122 lbf-ft) :firstplace::firstplace::firstplace: Thanx Idaho for the info from the 2014 Service Manual. This definitely validates that there is an error in the 2013 Manual. My belt currently reads around 225 on the Cricket. For last adjustment, I...

Will the real axle torque please stand up???

2013 Belt Tension Blue Knight, Thanx for info, but I think the 2013 is different. I just looked at the Service Manual, tension spec for belt is 1050 N (236 lbf) for 2013. The manual indicates this is not the correct spec for previous years 450 N, so I assume they changed the design in 2013...

Will the real axle torque please stand up???

ST Maintainers, confusing information on rear axle torque. 2013 STS - Service Manual specifies 166 N-m in one place and 2 pages later 130 N-m. Conventional wisdom from Spyderlovers points to 130 spec. I see that the 2013 STS belt tension spec is higher than previous years. This...

Stock STS Seat with a New Attitude

STS with emphasis on 'Touring' Here's a picture of the bike with the riser in place. It has really worked out well. After adding the handlebar risers, the bike feels totally different. I think the bike is really well suited for touring, but still simple enough to be a runabout. I can tell...

Fitting Custom Dynamics "Ezy Risers" to a 2013 ST

EZ Risers installed and Good to go Thanx Blueknight and Ccol for paving the way here. Turns out that the Control clusters do not need to be detached, the old stub bar fits into the new riser perfectly, the controls can remain on the stub bar as installed. The new bar that comes with the EZ...

Fitting Custom Dynamics "Ezy Risers" to a 2013 ST

Nice work - Would like to replicate on a 2013 STS But cannot seem to get the left control cluster off the stub bar. I have taken off the 4 screws that hold the front part of the cluster to the back half that is attached to the bar. I cannot seem to get the front half totally free, it is...
