• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Good Price on 2017 F3-S?

One way or another it's always a good idea to support your local dealer if possible. (If they're a decent dealer and "reasonable.") This is coming from someone who started/owned a powersports dealership (other OEM brands, not Can-Am) for many years. A good dealer will service you regardless of...

    ECU remap for more torque

ECM's are about $500 US. Not only are there differences between models & years, but also within manufacturing dates & where machines are made for/sold. (North America has different ECM than elsewhere on my machine. Possibly that's due to gearing & emissions etc.) Example...

Aggressive riding in the curves question

Thanks lol! (Now I'm curious as to her "delicate ways.") I'm going to have to disable the anti-slip and do some controlled environment testing. (Like I said, thanks lol!) I've honestly never felt any intervention whatsoever & power has never been noticeably effected. But, maybe it is...

    ECU remap for more torque

    Good question/idea!

Aggressive riding in the curves question

Since "the nanny" has become an integral part of this discussion, I have a question regarding it's behavior: On my F3-S D500 (SE model) I've never experienced nanny (while driving), nor have I ever disabled traction control. No need to IMO, because it must already be set rather "aggressive" on...

Aggressive riding in the curves question

Very well said. This is how I describe controlled aggressive riding on my F3-S in one sentence: "I ride my F3-S (se) like a high performance snowmobile on well groomed trail, with smooth throttle control!" IMPORTANT: I don't try/expect to to stay with good (or foolish?) 2-wheel sport bike...

@ 350 miles, I met my "nanny" this afternoon.....

LOL! (Hows things in Indiana? ~ I used to be a "Boilermaker." Almost drowned in the Wabash & lived/went to school in W. Lafayette.)

    ECU remap for more torque

@Jase Does updating the ECU void manufacturer warranty? Also, prior to reading this thread I was wondering if ECU setup/coding is a big part of the difference between the regular F3 and the F3-S? (the extra ~10 ponies) I have a stock F3-S D500 (SE), and it's pretty snappy. However, I'd...

@ 350 miles, I met my "nanny" this afternoon.....

Yep, she kicked in on my F3-S D500. (1'st time she's ever shown presence, at exactly 350 miles.) Was I on the edge I guess, you decide..... Came to a dirt road and coasted then stopped while still on pavement. ("no thanks dirt road") Executed a classic backup/3 point turn and when back in...

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

    Missed that one lol..... 🏁

Sooooo I did a demo ryde last Saturday

THIS: I can't imagine someone with a background in both motorcycles & snowmobiles (and atv's for that matter) to not think favorably after spending a few days on one of the newer F3-S models with drag bars. (Possibly the laser alignment makes a difference too. ~ Mine was aligned by dealer...

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

Yep, entirely possible. Was thinking the same thing. And maybe when I hit the run switch I "reversed the procedure" the first time. Clicked it on and off, not realizing that was the cause of stalling. Just know this is going to to be an ongoing issue. Will have to work on one-hand reverse...

What the heck is that lol?

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

Now I know why machine stalled.... Hand moving over from reverse button barely catches the kill switch. Did it again today. (Didn't have a problem restarting this time. Holding the brake worked while in R.)

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

Good to know. I always go into neutral as well. But my issue/engine stalling was the result of transmission kicking into reverse with foot on brake. (As soon as reverse engaged, machine stalled.) ~Bob

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

Stepping on the brake had absolutely no effect the first time. That was the first thing I tried right after it stalled in R. From that point on, I tried just about everything I could think if. Even tapping, and holding the eco button etc. When it did start, I definitely saw the R at first...

Restart SE after stalling in reverse?

What's the procedure to get a stalled 1330 SE machine into neutral? (or start it in reverse) Had an issue today and dubbed around for 5 minutes before finding something that worked. (Engine just stalled seconds after shifting it into reverse. ~ Only time I've ever experienced this.) By the...

SE6: What's that subtle ringing "tinging" sound while driving?

Ahhhh, Shawn Smoak..... Good to know! His YouTube vidoes actually played a role in my decision to get a Spyder. Between him filming rides out of the dealership along with the 1'st perspective ride videos from Lamonster..... There was no turning back! Funny story actually, but the day I...

SE6: What's that subtle ringing "tinging" sound while driving?

Brand new machine here (F3-S se6): Occasionally (from mile 1) I've noticed a very slight "clinging" sound when driving my F3-S. Almost sounds like a loose floating/spinning fender washer. (Not very pronounced.) The sound is typically is noticeable while driving at a constant speed/not while...
