• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder riding in extreem heat. Tell us how you deal with it.

In hot and humid weather or even in the dry heat of Southern California where I lived most of my life, I ride with a white or light colored long sleeve, cotton T-shirt, blue jeans, Tennis shoes, lightweight summer gloves, open-face helmet with shield and this works fine from 125 degrees, with...

    The RT in high winds.

Thanks for the answers Folks! My last Goldwing was a new 2012 and it really wasn't affected much at all. In SW Missouri, 99% of our storms and winds come diagonally from the Southwest blowing Northeast and seems to hit the rider at a 45 degree angle, so it can be disconcerting. When one lives...

    The RT in high winds.

I have a question that I would appreciate opinions on: In high winds, is the RT adversely affected and if so, how does it manifest itself? Having never owned a Spyder but having owned 79 motorcycle/ scooters spanning 53 years of street (And dirt) riding, I have had some bikes affected more...

    So I rode a two wheeler today.....WOW!

"Can you keep it, and still get a Spyder??" QUOTE Bob, I can keep it but that would be another example of what I went through before with having owned 5 bikes at one time! Things like which one do I ride this time? Did I change the oil on that one and check the air pressure and put the trickle...

    Ground Clearance

Question: Is the caster or camber affected by these mod's that 'raise' the front end??? Pitt Bull does a Laser alignment before delivery and it would be a shame if that was made null and void. I had never thought about ground clearance issues as I haven't bought my Spyder yet but being 6ft-5in...

Lifting a spyder rt with an atv hydraulic floor jack

Here is what I have: It is a full size Hydraulic lift that will raise to 7 ft at the bottom rail and it lifts enough weight for anything that will fit on it. It was brought in to my "hobby" barn, dropped off the trailer in position and then I drilled the bottom of each post and used "Red Heads,"...

Wish me luck as I may take the plunge to Spyder ownership Tomorrow!

Well, I had a paradigm shift in my preconceived thoughts about 3 wheel luxury and sophistication as a result of our visit to 'Pitt bull' Powersports yesterday:yikes: As I had anticipated, my wife just naturally gravitated to the most comfortable and luxurious looking Spyder on the showroom...

Wish me luck as I may take the plunge to Spyder ownership Tomorrow!

I will be taking the Wife to 'Pitt Bull Powersports,' in Springfield, MO, Saturday:shocked: My wife always wants comfort and Luxury so I just know which model she will like best:opps: I tend to like the 'Sporty' stuff but she's a Goldwing type woman and likes the nicer things:) I'll report...

A new use for your Spyder if need be.

I bought a new 1999 Dodge 2500 Cummins Diesel powered, long bed pickup and my friend liked it so much, the next day he went down and bought an identical one. When he took it home and tried to park it in his garage, it was a foot too long! He ended up knocking the wall out in front of the pickup...

Why Can I Not Ride Mr. Cognac?

I know what ya mean! See my Avatar. I mow 7 acres a week from middle March to middle November. I lose some riding time but if we don't mow often here in the heartland we will have to have it bailed after a few weeks! A 1,000cc Kawasaki V-twin, 35 Horsepower, 49 ft lbs, 61 inch cut, heavy duty...

    The Morning Thread

Guten Morgen Leute! Haben ein wunderschoener tag:shocked: it is foggy again this morning as it has been for about a week. Cold mornings in the low 40's are not my cup of Tea but the afternoons have been around 70 degrees and I did do a 94 mile ride yesterday through the beautiful 'Fall' Ozarks...

    Drive belt and gravel roads.

Thanks Folks for the replies! I was concerned enough that I was going to investigate a chain drive conversion. I believe I saw one on a Spyder on YouTube once?? I've had 3 Harleys and 2 had belt drive and never any problems with the belts whatsoever, only requiring adjustments every 25,000...

    Drive belt and gravel roads.

Is it Verboten to operate the Spyder on typical gravel roads that one encounters on occasion, such as in Rural areas or even detours? My driveway alone is over 400 feet of packed gravel from the road to my hobby barn and I'm concerned! Answers will be appreciated. Thanks. Sam:thumbup:
