• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sport bikes vs. Spyders

Dave ..... There are some tricks that can get you up to speed on the Spyder but you will never be able to stay with a Sport Bike in the twisties! Just get off the seat and onto the pegs leaning forward (try to bite the mirrors!!) and hold on!! On a hard right when you are down hard on the...

Okay, Who'd pay to get rid of the 'Read Card' Message?

Could you design a board that would allow us to put in our own message? My '02 Goldwing allowed me to do this. Maybe something like; "Scratch you butt to start the engine"! ..... Would be fun to come up with some sample messges?!?

If you still have any strength left after all of that, check out Wayah Rd out of Franklin, NC - you won't want to miss that one!!!!!! Also, the stretch of Hwy 28 between Franklin and Hwy 19 is GREAT! Perhaps you can do the loop once you leave the Gap, go down 28 to Franklin, pick up Wayah Rd...

    Best rides in the US...

Have you toured eastern part of West Virginia? Some of the greatest roads I've ever traveled and since I live in North Carolina I've ridden a lot of great roads in the Western NC mountains including Deals Gap many times. West Virginia encourages motorcylists. Pocahontas county has their own...

    Yes Deer

Two years ago on my Honda VFR800 I was riding in the Canaan Valley area of West Virginia and noticed 4 deer on a ridge on the left side of the road. They immediately bolted across the road in front of me but at my speed (55mph) and the distance they were in front of me, I knew they would clear...

    New Vendor- GloRyder

Did this work? I really like the look on the stock wheel but won't change back just for the lights. Hope a solution can be found to spread the light more on the 6-spoke! What about a spacer of some type to push the light out a bit????

    which saddel bags

First of all, ignore that :lecturef_smilie: .... geeeesh!! I'm in the same boat trying to decide. Actually, I'm toying with the idea of just going with one of GIVI's larger top boxes and let it go at that. I can always add the side bags later. With the large tip (uh oh .. I mispelled that...

    Helmet Headsets

Check this out http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=29 It does everything you asked for and more. Only drawback is connections (wires). However, I've learned to handle it by either attaching it to my belt or, putting it in my tankbag. If you think it is something you might want to...

I'm going to ride somewhere Saturday and Sunday!! Any ideas? Morrow Mountain area (Uwharrie National Forest) looks good. Spyders around Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville and around could make it fairly easy.

Can a spyder replace a motorcycle?

Bottom line .... back to your original statement about "family reasons". The Spyder would be the best of both worlds and still give you the degree of safety you are looking for a whole lot of satisfaction (smile factor!!) Let us know what you do.

Want to take a ride on the Hellbender?

Here's the rest of the ride when we pulled out of the Hellbender Pit Stop! Lamont filmed me in the lead. Lamont, remember the leo's?! About 1/2 way into the video right after we pass the white van, notice on the right a den of bears. One stepped out as we were passing and I will never forget...

    Rear View Camera

I really wish there was an inexpensive and small "night vision" camera for the front for night driving. One that could spot animals - especially deer - at a distance far enough away to be able to take evasive action.
