• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Enclosed Trailer Recommendations?

I bought a trailer 2 months ago. Was looking at enclosed but came across a neighbor with an Aluma trailer and was very impressed. I bought the 6810 model which is perfect for Spyders. Durable, folding ramp, stable at high speeds and more fuel efficient than enclosed. Towing with my van only...

    Reports on Pitbull's Relocator?????

I kinda had similar experience, close to 4 hours waiting on my appt and they pretty much left a nut off one of the shocks. BUT, I was neither disappointed or unhappy. I was grateful that they were able to work on mine at all. ( I needed a code checked and I threw in the shock relo kit at the...

    Reports on Pitbull's Relocator?????

I was wondering about this...I own a 2012 RT and test road the 2013 ST at Spyderfest. Since they took us on a long ride including high speed hwy I was very impressed with how straight it tracked and how stable it was compared to mine. Pitbull did the shock relo kit for me while I was there and...

Has anyone purchased the BUDS software?

Oh well, guess the only BUDS I'm going to get is a couple of beers with dinner.

    Installing Pit Bull Shock Relocator

Even though I now have clearance with the plastic I'm still getting a clicking sound. Got someone underneath with light while I moved it back and forth, turned bars and rocked it. Actually sounds like it's coming from the plastic just below the instrument cluster when turning the handlebars...

    Bumpskid....is it needed?

I've put most every mod I could and I've been resistant on the bumpskid because with the Elkas and shock relo kit I'm sitting pretty high. This is the first post I've seen espousing aerodynamic benefits. I noticed you put the sway bar on at same time. Do you think that had more to do with...

    Voltmeter

I ran mine direct, like yours, except I put a marine switch in to turn it on and off. I got the lighted one so I would know when it's on. It looks like the stock Spyder switches also. http://www.basspro.com/Contura-Switches/product/23418/

Has anyone purchased the BUDS software?

FYI, I ran the demo software and it doesn't look like it will allow you to do much. Site doesn't mention price and will probably be high given limited market for this and needed hardware.

Has anyone purchased the BUDS software?

FYI, here's their take on that very question from their FAQs: I own a Gem Car (which is nothing but a high end golf cart). Years back I found out that they used the same GE controllers as certain forklifts. I was able to get software from a forklift company and through trial and...

I fully agree with Nor Cal on this one. I didn't agree with some postings but I didn't see where anyone was doing anything hurtful. I enjoyed Spyderfest and the folks that ran it did a great job. There's always ways to improve and discussing positive improvements for the future is a good thing...

    Installing Pit Bull Shock Relocator

Jacked mine up today to remove lower shock bolts and grind some plastic away. Quick and easy..Good thing too as I noticed that the right shock bolts nut was only on about a quarter turn and never tightened. Good part was that the even though there was about a full inch between the nut and the...

When would you like to see Spyderfest Happening?

I read through the posts and I'm not really seeing any animosity. People have been complaining about the weather since they lived in caves. Positive criticisms are a good thing, no reason to suppress others opinions. Looks like everyone responding is just trying to improve the Spyderfest...

When would you like to see Spyderfest Happening?

My feelings are the same, in fact, I'd rather see June. Those of us who traveled long distances have a bunch of money in attending. The local hotel bill was only a small percentage of total cost and I'd be more than glad to pay more for a better chance at warmer weather. I enjoyed Spyderfest...

    Vented Windshield

Nothing wrong with having 2 windscreens. Use the sport in the summer and the original in the winter. Also have the option when going on a longer wet trip with 2 up to go larger for the passenger. Only takes about 10 minutes to swap out.

    Installing Pit Bull Shock Relocator

I had pitbull install mine during Spyderfest. Been noticing a clicking sound and traced it to both shocks springs hitting the plastic cover on the A-frame arm. Really no big deal as it's just rubbing on plastic but best to grind a little off concentrically for stress relief to avoid cracking...

Spyderfest may have pushed me over the edge!

I've owned 2 wheel motorcycles for over 40 years. My last bike was an S50 Suzuki that I could carry on the back bumper of my RV. Nice bike--weighed only 440 lbs and had a better power to weight ratio than a Sportster. Kept it after I bought the Spyder last year. When it became obvious that I was...
