• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for those who has an IPOD

Which Connection Are You Using? On my 2010 RTS I have noticed that if I use the left-side 12v plug the battery drain continues until the iPod is charged. Using the iPod connector (not the earpiece out), the right-side DIN connector stops charging with key off, but the iPod seems to continue to...

Looking into the future of the RT

:welcome: I disagree. Not having your product work the way it is claimed will cause people to turn away from purchasing it. Manufactures should always strive to improve their products while simultaneously balancing such improvements with cost. Some improvements are "cheap" while others are...

    2012 RT Bluetooth adapter

RECAP: Using the BRP designed 12v plug causes interference (same problem with my 2010 RTS SE5), and; Not using the BRP 12v plug things "work as advertised" (same "fix" for me on mine). Additionally, once "plugged in" my SE5 sends a whining sound thru the helmet (Nolan Trilogy with NCom) when...

    Radio question for the experts

Is your J&M cord plugged directly into the Spyder or are you using the BRP adapter and plugging into that? Do you have a part number for the J&M cord? Has J&M heard of other Spyder owners with similar problems? Cords are not always "cords". How a cord is pinned is a whole other beast...

    Electrical and Oil Pressure Gauges

Usually this is a result of condensation caused by a difference in the temp of the gauge vs the surrounding temp. The big driver for condensation in gauges is due to the internal components warming/cooling faster than the surrounding air. One way to eliminate this is to have a vent hole at the...

Engine Locked Down, BRP Want Cover Under Warranty

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act This is the same law auto manufacturers and dealers do not like. Why? Because it allows you to take your car to a non-dealer for service. Manufacturers want their Dealers to get 100% of the work but this law stops them cold in their tracks! An example would be if...

Engine Locked Down, BRP Want Cover Under Warranty

:lecturef_smilie: Not so fast..... One of the reason we have laws are to prevent people or corporations (yes they are legally "people" too) from doing whatever they want to. True it may cost you money to fight them, BUT it will cost them way more if they loose. A corporation could face a...

    FOWARD SPROCKET PROBLEM

:lecturef_smilie: Not a recommended practice. It is not necessarily the bolt as much as it is the material you are tightening it into you have to worry about. Stripping the threads on a bolt that has a hardening strength less than the hole is better than the other way around! A bolt...

    FOWARD SPROCKET PROBLEM

:agree: Aviation bolts usually have drilled heads for this very reason. Pretty much everything on an airplane/helicopter is put together with the thought of "vibration will loosen this". If this is a known problem as Scotty suggests, then using safety wire to wire the bolt heads is the...
