• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Awesome Idea!!! That looks great. Been meaning to get highway pegs but, like you, was worried about the position. Great Mod of a Great Farkle. Hope you don't mind if that copied.

    1000 miles and still smiling

Congrats Just crossed the 2000 threshold myself this weekend. Loving it. Sorry BRP, but I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this thing looks more like a Bulldog, than a spider.

2014s Go To Orange Long Life Coolant

Was Briefed When I picked up my 2014 RT-L in September, the service manager mentioned the orange coolant was the standard for my Spyder. He warned us not to mix with the traditional green. Was easy for me.... Orange (Cognac) Spyder uses Orange Coolant.

A sad day...put Spyder into winter storage - ugh....

Winter Idea Perhaps BRP can make Ski Attachements for the Spyder.. then you folks with the solid rain problems could still scooter around?? J/K I can definitely understand grumbling about not being able to ryde.

Stock tires will not track straight

Pulls to the Right My 2014 RT-L does pull to the right if I pull back from the handles for a moment. I haven't had the chance to get a laser alignment done yet. Hoping to wait til between 2000 & 2500 miles, see if it 'breaks in'. Though, we know how those types of hopes n wishes work.

    mpg

A Tankful I haven't done the MPG, but with approximately 1200 miles on my RT-L, I'm getting about 200 miles per tankful. I'm happy with that, though hoping everyone is right & will be getting more as I go.

    2014 RT. Ltd. Seat Question

Amazon is your friend There is a -Show Chrome Accessories 41-158 Smart Mount Backrest - on Amazon for $165. Looked at it, but the co-pilot wanted to stay with BRP stuff. so we just added the seat back to the financed cost.

New 2014 with some new mods

Slightly off topic Sorry to ask, I'm sorta new in the Spyder Community. What does the number (879) mean? where did you get it from? I've seen a few people mention numbers like that, just never have asked before. Thanks

14 & 15 RT's and the battery tender (battery maintainer)

Cool Down time Thanks for the info. I'll definitely pick up a tender and get it set up. Best to test and prove, than to find a nice cool sunny day (Let's RIDE!!!) & a dead battery (oh dern!).

14 & 15 RT's and the battery tender (battery maintainer)

A quick question I'm in south central Texas and during the winters here, we might have 30 consecutive days where I might not get on the Spyder. At what point (down time) would I need to consider putting on a tender to maintain the battery? Thanks

    Not feeling the magic.......

I'm in your boat Fat Baxter, I seem to be in the same boat as you. I've got 750 miles in a few rides on my RT-L... Any highway curve that has a posted speed scares the heck outa me. I'll say I'm a bit more comfortable now with the Spyder than when I initially drove it home, but I'm still...

Need to stiffen the front Shocks a bit.

I have a 2014 RT-L with the non-adjustable front shocks. Is there an inexpensive way to stiffen them? Dont need much, but I wanna tone down the buck n roll a bit on bumpy roads. Tried the search here in the forums, but didn't get any result to the queries I tried. Any help would be appreciated.
