• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    First look at the RT

Thanks Lamont, enjoyed the photos. The saddlebag photos cleared my mind, they are big. Looks like there is a removeable bag which is what I took for the back of the bag, lots of room. Now if BRP wants to give us one we could take another 2 month trip and try it out for them. Don't need all the...

brp site is up w/ new models

:( Well, haven't read other posts yet, but I'm not impressed. Went to the site, takes a bit of waiting for loading. WHY didn't they make the engine bigger, more ccs or whatever to give it more umph? Glad we took our journey on our spyder. I opened up the bag on the site and it only looks like...

    Spyder Blowed Up

OUCH, my sympathies :yikes:. On our long trip I just kind of took it for granted things would just all function properly. Not sure what we would have done if something close to this had happened. Doubt you get any financial help either-guess that part is the chance we take driving away from...

    my right shoulder blade/back/neck burns

Well, you could try being the passenger, I don't get those problems. OK, OK, not funny but it was my first reaction to the post. Have heard Dudley comment about various pains in different areas so I do know this is a serious/real concern.:coffee:

Thanx for the B-day wish...The new me!

Oh my, hoping all rights itself so you can keep going. Take it you were solo riding if you are the only victim. Scary stuff. Best wishes and having a supporting spouse and family is a definite PLUS.

    'hoppers

My sympathies, we had them too after a few areas on our journey, Dudley cleaned out more of them here at home over the weekend. Figured they would be gone by now but nope, there they were. Never "smelled" and that is saying a lot because it's quite hot here. Finally got all of them I think over...

    IRON BUTT.... got it ...

Way to go Forest:congrats:; an accomplishment for sure. I'll stick to a slower pace stretched over time. Now you have that down you can sit back and enjoy the rides.

    just saying hello

They said it all welcome; it took us a few months before we decided to finally buy ours; that was my fault because I had to wait to see if I would win a raffle one first. Nope, so....almost 10 months and 25,000 miles with no regrets.

    Spyder Won't Start

Yep, stepping on the brake did it for us too when we first got our :spyder2:. We were being cool cause folks at the eatery gathered round to see, low and behold we couldn't start. Had to call dealer and the service guy walked us through all the steps then asked "you have the SE5?", easy after...

    Paranoia post. lol

The others said it all, but yes, get on the :spyder2: and don't worry about anything. If a problem arises (happens with anything) come here and post or look around for your solution. It's a great machine, and fun, and cool.....

Potential Buyer - Time to Stay Clear of a Spyder

PSSTT: I love our :spyder2:. After the 13,000 plus journey I still would do it again. No problems, mechanical or otherwise. What's the total :spyder2: numbers out there? Doubt these things being discussed has/will happen to all of them, it's a chance one takes with any purchase. It's a fun...

BACK UP BRAKE SQUEAK SOLVED .....

How will we recognize it's a :spyder2: without the squeal :yikes:? :joke: we hope to do this too. Loved your runon commentary; sounds like something I would do:D.

    Strange Town Names

We are on the other side of the country, but sounds cool. Know we passed through a few odd/interesting ones on our journey. Did I take a picture? Of course not, except for that Florida, Mass sign on some hill I can't recall back in the East.

    Had stock seat flatten

Understood, we didn't like the seat either. Made the butt position very uncomfortable and yes pressing into the bones down there. Happy riding.

    Had stock seat flatten

Guessing you are speaking of flattening those horrid points on the seat back? Even with those gone I don't think the stock seat would have worked for us; uncomfortable after lots of miles. But, if it worked for you, great :clap:and you're sure right about the money saved.
