• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Beaded seat for F3s?

Beaded seat Hi, I just completed a 4 day, 2k mile ride a couple of weeks ago to north Georgia and area with my COG club. I purchased a cheap $11.75 bead seat to see how it would work on the trip. Well, it worked great, my butt stayed cool and dry. :ohyea:I did the Dragon with my club riding...

    Handlebars

Ref JP58 I also installed the ROD risers (2inch) with the short reach bars. These bars are angled similar to regular motorcycle bars. Much more comfortable than the flat stock bars. Anyway, I couldn't get the bars from rotating as well. You can clamp down hard enough on the stock end, but at...

    Question on re-flashing an ECU

EDU over written question. Thanks guys for the input. I emailed Monster today and got a reply from Steve. Nice guy and he answered my questions. Basically, yes it could be over written by the dealer but he said such updates don't happen often with the Spyder. With ATV's this does happen...

    Question on re-flashing an ECU

I'm seriously thinking of getting my ECU re-flashed by Monster/ Wick and have a question on future software updates by BRP. How frequently does BRP actually update the ECU during maintenance? If I do get the flash done, during these maintenance updates, will they over-write the performance flash...

    Which IPOD Compatible with F3

Thumb drive question Is there a special format required on the thumb drive to make it work. I have my music ripped from CD's and I can't get it to work. The system won't recognize the thumb drive. How do you get it to work? Thanks for any input.

Engine noise at cold start-up in '18 F3 Limited Anniversary Edition

Noises at start up. I've had the same noises on my F3 Ltd. Just a thought, check your oil level. I have finally got mine down to where it's supposed to be (close) and the noise was been reduced by quite a bit. When they did my first oil change they put too much in. It was also this way when I...

    2016 F3 Ltd radio question

I loaded my music onto a thumb drive and plugged it into the cable in the glove box (?), and select the USB source. Well, it won't recognize the thumb drive so it won't play anything. How do you get this to work? When I connect an MP3 player in and select it, it plays fine. Does anyone have the...

    Easy rear tire air....

Valve stem extension hose. I picked up a package of 4 valve extension hose on Amazon for around $10.00 and are about 6 inches long. They are made for semis to reach the valve stem on the inside wheel. Well made high pressure hose material with swaged fittings. Works like a charm for checking...

    Skid plate

Bump skid install. Another thing to be carefull with is when you drill the plastic under the radiators, don't drill deep. It's easy to drill the plastic anyway, just don't push hard and punch into the radiators. There's s quite a bit of clearance behind but it doesn't hurt to go easy. Someone...

    Belt Tension Adjustment

Doc's belt tensioner I installed Doc's tensioner last weekend but only got out today for a good ride to test it. It works like a charm, much smoother all around. There is still some vibration in the bars in the 3200 to 3400 RPM range though. I had noticed this before with the bike and I believe...

Horrible handling issue with major wind gusts

Blown around I just wanted to add another tip to what has been mentioned already, all good advice. I once read on a forum or in a magazine riding tip section about riding in heavy wind conditions. They said to hang onto the bike tighter with your KNEES and let your upper body relax and not hold...

Retiring soon, vehicle / trailer recommendations.

Vehicle, trailer combo. PeteF, Thanks for the thorough response. You covered some very important items that I hadn't thought of. Looks like I will have to rethink my vehicle choice some. I had thought that the Rav4 may be on the low side for making it work. I just didn't want to go to a full...

    volt meter connection

Alternate indicator. I purchased a dual USB outlet on Amazon for around $15.00 or less and installed it in the dash. It has a digital voltage readout built in. Mine usually indicates 14.4 volts while running. I have installed a separate 6 outlet fuse box up front powered directly from the...

Retiring soon, vehicle / trailer recommendations.

I’m hoping to retire in a couple of years and I wanted to reach out to the several lucky folks that have already retired and have found solutions to some of these questions. I have an old PT cruiser that has survived 3 teenage daughters (now graduated college) which is getting long in the tooth...

    Tank Protector Options???

Tank protection material. I wonder what that clear plastic stuff that comes with your limited is, never got them? Anyhow, doesn't matter. What I used on my bike as well as the previous one was a clear plastic material that you can get from any sewing store (Joanne's, Micheal's) for pennies...

    OEM tires improved?

It's the rim profile I've seen this same discussion on my motorcycle forum as well. Someone finally came up with the most logical answer of why you "can't" use car tires on motorcycles. The profile on the rim for the bead is different between the two. The car tire profile tends to lock the bead...

    First oil change.

First service. Thanks all for the comments. Yes, I've been following the red dust comments and will periodically check this myself. The wobble felt odd and I'll mention it today. I'll post later today with any results.
