• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    FYI, cats love the Spyder.

Just "mark" the perimeter around your Spyder... that'll keep the critters away. .:ohyea:

    TRIKE SAFETY COURSE

GWRRA Trike course... GWRRA held a training session in Lincoln, Alabama at the Honda plant on the first and second of October. It included the Trike classroom on Saturday afternoon, and the road portion on Sunday morning. Spyders had been approved to take the course, and we had 16 in...

    Reverse Button Recall

I noticed that this letter is dated April, 2011. So much for BRP staying on top of things. I still, to this date, have not received a copy from BRP. Thank God for Spyderlovers!

    Some welcome

I agree! BRP could have used the $$$ they spent on the welcome package a lot better than they did. The size of the package certainly did belie it's contents. It was much to do, about nothing. :(

    Loose screws

security bit... The bit you will need to snug/tighten these fasteners is a #20 security torx bit (as shown). The rear pin is straight, but the forward pin is angled and needs to point upwards when tightened. You do not need to over-tighten these fasteners.

    Spare key under the doormat...

Today I had a couple of spare blank keys cut so that the frunk and trunk could be opened in the event of a "lockout". I removed one of the rear passenger footrest rubber pads and cut out an area large enough to nest the key. Once the pad is replaced, it's an easy task to lift the inside edge...

Locking away the keys.......A Florida adventure

key blank... teadave, Thanks for the heads-up. The ILCO x270 is the correct blank. I had two cut this afternoon by my local locksmith. One will live under the passenger footrest "doormat" as shown.

    back draft

backdraft... Remove the side deflectors, or cut them down 2". I removed mine for the summer months and had no exhaust back draft at all... and it's much cooler. The problem is with them removed, in heavy rain you get a lot more water on your legs.

Help - Oil Pressure Gauge Installation

threads... As a follow-up to my previous post... I'm not sure what the threads are in the Rotax engine, but I'd want to know before I started trying to insert a fitting that didn't match. There are slight differences in the three major tapered pipe fittings that could damage the case if used...

    Who will be the closes??

fwiw... For those (like me), with way too much time on their hands, I've got an Excel chart that computes the center of gravity location for the RT. Just enter the weights for the three wheels. I think that the RS wheelbase is close to the same, so it should work for the RS also. P.M. me for...

    Who will be the closes??

There's no reason that you can't weigh each "wheel" independently. Just make sure that the Spyder is level. Riding the two wheels not being weighed up onto blocks the same thickness as the scale should do the trick. The total of all three weighings is your total weight. The sum of the two...
