• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New mpg record!

I agree. I've kept mpg records for three years and 25,000 miles... 31.64 mpg. That's riding one up and 50% interstate. I have had a couple of tanks that register in the upper 30's, but that has been on 45 mph limited access parkways.

    new lazer alingment

alignment... I'm certainly not against a laser alignment procedure. I was addressing the statement about the rear wheel being 5/8" out of track. If your Spyder is that much out of track, there are other issues involved aside from front end alignment.

    new lazer alingment

Just a thought... Hmmmm, I don't know what they're referring to when they said 5/8" out of alignment on the rear wheel. The rear swing arm is on a single pivot, and the axle/wheel are aligned with the sprocket on the engine to maintain clean tracking of the belt. For the rear wheel to be...

Losing Air Pressure in my Rear Shock

RT airbag... I had the dealer replace my airbag back in 2010, at which time they installed the new 90º fitting. The airbag continued to leak after the replacement, so I wound up removing the whole assembly (airbag, hose, Schrader valve) and submerged it in my laundry tub. It was only then...

    Bluetooth

In my case I have an RT A/C which does not have the rear speakers installed. The wiring connectors are there, so it's easy to tap into them for the LOC inputs. Adjusting the bias toward the rear essentially lowers the front speaker volume, while favoring the signal going to the LOC-80 and...

    Bluetooth

bluetooth... Here’s the system I used to get the audio signal from my RT to my Sena headset. This method allows any installed component (radio, iPod, GPS, etc.) to be heard in your helmet, and controlled from the audio controls on the RT. I installed a Scosche LOC-80 line output converter in...

    RIDING IN THE RAIN???

riding in rain... Make sure you have your visor all the way down and locked/snapped shut. Some visors allow water to run down from the top in behind the visor if they are not closed all the way.

    Go Pro camera mounting location

camera mounting... Other than a helmet mount, I found the best place on the RT to mount a camera is the side air deflector (if you still have the original ones installed). I tapped out one of the small Ram balls 10-32", and drilled a #11 hole in the air deflector to mount the ball. I tried...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

Look, let's face it. BRP tries to support it's dealer network as much as it can, and the dealers are not about to give away their expertise for free. General maintenance is explained in the owners manual, and beyond that you have to ferret the info out for yourself. It's pretty much the same...

Brake Failure Code showing up AGAIN!

C1282 All, When re-installing brake calipers after installing brakes, or replacing the rear tire, do not press the brake pedal with the key turned on, and don't do it quickly. Press it several short, slow strokes to run the piston back out against the disk. Pressing the pedal quickly with...

    Urgent advise please!!!!

dps... Another thing you might want to try is this... Find a large parking lot and do some slow, tight (lock to lock) figure "8" turns in first gear. This sometimes has the effect of resetting the DPS.
