• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That's how it's supposed to work. You can't have music and comm at the same time. If you're listening to music, and you hit comm, music is "muted" during the conversation. Same with phone. Music is the lowest priority in the chain, so anything else will override it. I'm not sure if there is...

I Had One Of THOSE Conversations Yesterday...

I've certainly got more positive than negative. I guess that kind of negates the negative to the point that it actually stays in my head about 30 seconds. Some conversations don't even qualify for storage to SHORT term memory.

    GPS CELL PHONE BLUETOOTH

If you don't have a comm unit in your helmet, bluetooth is a waste of time and effort. With a comm unit, audio would be better, and your GPS would double as a caller ID, answerer. Without the comm unit, all you have is caller ID on your GPS.

I Had One Of THOSE Conversations Yesterday...

We had pens, and had to mark the little circles, but those pens were very flexible... Every time I tried to mark for my candidate, the pen would bend to the other circle!!! It took me 4 hours, because I had to sneak up on the pen for each mark.. They told me it was a "calibration"...

    Going out of Business

Real bummer!!! Glad I got mine, as IMO, the design is superior to anything else I've seen for the Spyder...

Here is what the Spyder COULD be

I'd be surprised if you actually see one in the US. Most states DMV's prohibit rear wheel steering vehicles to be licensed.

Citizen Pulls Cop Over, Gives Warning.

My point wasn't to defend the guy. He had an agenda, I agree... My question is to what extent can officials abuse power before we speak up? This case was the unlawful use of an unmarked car - most of us don't care What if it had been illegal search and seizure? What then? "Well, it wasn't my...

    A note on tire compounds.

What you said makes sense, and from Kenda's standpoint, it should be possible. I noticed that the tread pattern on the '14s were different than on my '12, so use the newer mold for the softer material, and the older mold for the harder material. Now you have 2 tires that you can visibly see the...

Citizen Pulls Cop Over, Gives Warning.

While I agree that this guy was trying to make a point at the expense of the police officer, just when DOES it become about the law, and not embarrassing the department? Also, if the officer WAS in the wrong, according to the state, then wouldn't the police behavior you mention become more than...

Citizen Pulls Cop Over, Gives Warning.

While the way he went about this is questionable, the statement he made at the end of the video speaks volume. The Constitution not only provides for our rights, but also provides for a "power check" of the people in public service. That can't be overlooked. I spent enough time defending it, I...

Under the left hand panel (it has the rear handgrip heater controls), there is a wire harness there that goes to both lights.

Nitrogen on tires or not, that is the question...

Free is a pretty good price!! I think the poster who said it was a "rip-off" was probably referring to the dealers who charge an excess premium for the Nitrogen service. I can see a few extra bucks - they DO need to pay for their cost of getting the Nitrogen, but charging an extra...

    water bottle mod

Paint will insulate the heat sink. While it would probably still be better than NO heat sink, it will degrade the heat exchanging capabilities of the heat sink. The grease is a Thermal conductor that improves the transfer of heat from the cooler to the heat sink. It won't bond (glue) the...

    water bottle mod

I would keep the heat sink at least. The TEC cooler doesn't have enough surface area to dissipate the heat alone. In my experiment, I was able to get the cooler about 20 degrees cooler with a small CPU heat sink, and 40 blowing compressed air on the heat sink.

    Spyder-blind Stop Lights!

    Kudos to Rivco

Yes... This isn't to be confused with the factory BRP floorboards that come on the '13s and '14s. This is JUST for the aftermarket ones that Rivco makes and sells.

Ok it's my turn to rant!

It seems that some dealers think they are the only show in the big top, so they can do or say whatever they want. BRP should be sending surveys to customers not only for sales experience, but service experience as well. Dealers who fall below a certain level, should be given 30 days to...
