• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone found a usb with switch to fit 2021 dash hole?

I'm looking at using a 'surface mount' USB port, but I'll be mounting it in the LH woofer speaker cavity. The speaker grill pops out easily for access and your charging cables can be routed up thru the steering column. I will post some pics when I get it completed...

Spyder vs. Ryker - Five Things You Need to Know Before You Buy

???? I'm pretty sure that Rykers have a 'snowmobile type' CVT transmission (belt-driven) and the final drive is belt, just like Spyders. (so they actually have 2 belts).

Need info on 2021 RT seat removal to install backrest?

Just purchased the PDF service manual for the 2021 RTL (Ebay) and searched all 770 pages and can't find any instructions for removing the passenger seat. But found some good info on the SpyderLovers forum that explained it. The 2 tabs easily release the seat but make sure you re-engage the...

2020 RTL Removing Brake Fluid Reservoir

Same thing here! Just cut a 6" piece of nylon air line and the end slides right in and leaves a nice long section to grab when removing the next time. If you leave it out, I suppose there could be a remote chance of hitting a bump and having the reservoir dislodge. But the 6" hose will...

How useful is Eco Mode? How easy to learn when to shift?

Interesting... Our 2015 ST Limited doesn't have this feature and we are considering moving up to a new RT. So I downloaded the 188 page user manual for the 2021 RT Limited and searched on "ECO mode". It appeared in one location (pg 31) that shows how to turn it ON and OFF. Absolutely no...

Torque settings for the rear rotor, caliper, and axle nut on 2013?

Just posted this on an "RT thread" about rear axle torque, but I actually own an ST Rear axle nut tightening torque discrepancy: I'm changing the rear tire and just looked at my PDF shop manual (Can-am). The subsection entitled "DRIVE BELT AND REAR WHEEL" shows the torque on page 5 (pg 622 on...

    Torque axle vs Torque nut

Rear axle nut tightening torque??? I'm changing the rear tire and just looked at my PDF shop manual (Can-am). The subsection entitled "DRIVE BELT AND REAR WHEEL" shows the torque on page 5 (pg 622 on PDF) as 225 Nm / 166 ft-lbs, BUT 2 pages later it shows the same torque table that specifies...

Camshaft position sensor - fault code due to oil?

It is: Camshaft Position Sensor Ass'y Exhaust emission component [+] 420664045 You can find the 'parts book' at "CheapCycleParts.com" for nearly any motorcycle. Not sure if I got your model exactly right, but the page you want is called "Valve Train" at the very end of the 'book'. BTW- the...

limp mode & code P0340 - Problem SOLVED!

Two weeks ago, my 2015 ST Limited (23,000 mi) just threw up the 'check engine' light and went into a semi limp mode (6000 rpm max) and running very strange. I checked the fault code and it was P0340 (bad cam sensor). Just received the new sensor (from Partzilla.com) and installed it. The Spyder...

    Review: Useful car dolly

Just picked up a single car dolly from Harbor Freight and it's all you need to move that Spyder (2015 ST Limited) around the garage. Leave the parking brake off, slide the dolly under the rear wheel, give it a few pumps to raise it up and you're good to go! The dolly is a bit tight sliding it...

    Brake Failure warning message

FYI - I'm still getting harassed by 'Brake Failure' warnings on my 2015 ST Limited. They simply come and go away on a regular basis after getting the first one at 6000 miles, we now have 21,000 miles on the ST! Topping off the reservoirs sometimes helps but not always. Just finished a 2 day...

    Brake Failure warning message

Well, this is certainly an intermittent 'failure' so I'm not sure that they would test "bad" (or even which one is faulty). Any idea what they cost?

    Brake Failure warning message

Brake Failure warning I have been plagued with this warning light for nearly a year on my 2015 ST Limited. I have to believe it's a flaky sensor. It normally pops up after the bike has been ridden for a while and then stopped and then re-started (like a gas stop). It first occurred on the...

I hate to ask but is this a good deal? 2013 Can-Am® Spyder® ST Limited SE5

2015 ST-Limited That's a great price since the MSRP was around 25K. We found ours in April (2016), up in Detroit (couldn't find any Denim Blue's in Ohio) and it cost us $19,900. Had a '12 RS-S SE5 for a couple years and I added bags and a backrest but it just wasn't comfortable for the long...

    2014 ST limited won't start

Double check the KILL switch Some bikes won't respond at all when the kill switch is off and others will crank until you run the battery down. My '15 ST Limited is currently in the shop with transmission issues, but I think Spyders will crank as if nothing is wrong!

    3 Reverse Trikes - including a Harley

Piaggio MP3 The MP3's are pretty cool and when riding one, you'd never know there were two wheels in front. The wife's 250 runs quite well and I feel better with her having two wheels up front due to the added stability around corners and during braking. These things will fall over in a...

Downshifting questions .... good or bad practices??

Transmission failed during downshift! Just started on a 1000 mile loop to the Skyline Dr and The Blueridge (from Ohio) and we got 300 miles into our journey and our 2015 ST Limited downshifted (automatically) on a tight uphill corner and 'popped out of gear'?? Left us totally stranded in...

Portable tire inflater and blown fuse!

Another possibility You might also consider using one of the 'new' jump starter power packs. Many of them are incredibly small and pack a tremendous punch! Here's a $40 one that I purchased and it has received high marks from many Amazon users. In case the following link doesn't work, just...
