• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Received my slingshot Saturday

So here is my question. I sat in one last weekend and with a 61" waist it was a little tight. Now I have seen on Nascar cars that they have a device where you are able to remove the steering wheel. How difficult/expensive would that be. Also changing the diameter of the steering wheel by an inch...

took a ride to see the SLINGSHOT today

Big Size I too was interested in my ability to get in and out. 60 inch waist, 6'1. It was a tight fit and wish the steering wheel was a little smaller in circumference. I like the idea of a removable steering wheel. I got in with my right foot but left my left foot on the ground so I was...

    Slingshot sighting

If you are wide, will you be able to fit. For example, I was able to sit in the Elio and I was able to fit in there.

Another Example of Why Spyderlovers is the BEST

I had thought that you did your own installs. Much braver than I. Only thing I installed was the new gas cap. That was a bear.:D

Another Example of Why Spyderlovers is the BEST

Today a friend of mine was installing four inch risers on a 2010 spyder. I took a ride down to watch and kibitz with him. As some of you know, I do not do mechanics (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express, once). While the instructions as someone wrote are 95% good, there is always something...

    Poliaris Slingshot

Well I had been waiting for the Elio...but now even though it is about three times the reported selling price of the Elio, and I was looking at the ST or an RT, I will now look at this only because of the dealer issue of service and support seems to be larger than the Can Am dealerships in my...

    Today's Ryde--what about your Ryde?

King City - Prunedale - Moss Landing - Castroville - Salinas - Prunedale - King City American Legion had a poker run and on the return to Prunedale saw two spyders on the south bound Hwy 101. We waved to each other and in the raffle I won a Harley mug/thermometer and a NASCAR hat/glasses (88)...

    California & the other States

This may be better posted in the CA forum but with people buying spyders in different states, it might be helpful... Currently I live in California but used to live in Michigan. I have been spending time here in Michigan dealing with my mother in laws illness. So naturally I check out the...

    Milage Pin

I got mine on Sat. What is strange is that they had made a mistake and sent me two 25 k pins. I filled out the form requesting the 5 k pin. That one came on Sat but it is bigger than the 25 k pin.:dontknow: I wish they had one for the 50 k. I am getting close 43 k and I plan on making it...

Never thought about the manufacturer. I was only thinking of the seller since they advertise that they were the ones with the answers.

    Highway pegs for RS

I have used the custom dynamics and then switched to the seal floor boards. They were not very hard to install (please note that I DO NOT do mechanics so I had a friend install them.) The biggest problem was the sensation that my foot would slip off the peg. One thing that I should have done...

    Brake Failure - need info

I also have a 2008 and have had a brake failure. That required replacement of the master cylinder. If you have seal floor boards you might want to check the brake pedal. I had to have it modified; first with a spring and then had the pedal width thinned and heightened. Also fluid level is...

    Rear tire pressure

I have the same tire and I have used 30 and 35 and 40 lbs. I don't notice much difference. I have the shock on the tightest setting because of my weight (heavy). When I called and talked to tireack who I bought the tire from about recommended inflation, they didn't want to make a suggestion as...

    Highway pegs seem uncomfortable

I had foot pegs originally and while it was ok, I kept feeling as though my feet were going to slip off. I wish that I had a lip or catch that my heel could have rested on so I wouldn't have the sensation of them slipping. I switched to the seal floor boards and they are a lot better with the...

    I might make the jump

Since the BRP truck is in our area, I would take a test ride. I did that on Sunday in Fresno and when I got home there was an email from BRP giving me an additional $1000 off on a spyder if I buy it in the next 30 days. I really liked the 2014 RT and the ride was great. Took a while to get used...
