• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much $$ to change rear tire (2010 RT-S SE5)

Well now that seems downright reasonable.

How much $$ to change rear tire (2010 RT-S SE5)

Not sure how Walmart could install a car tire for so much less if this is the case.

How much $$ to change rear tire (2010 RT-S SE5)

:yikes: Wow... $139.49 to lift a wheel, remove three nuts, swap a tire, and put the wheel back on. Dayum…. Makes me wonder how tire places make any money when WalMart charges, what, $25 for install on a car tire?

How much $$ to change rear tire (2010 RT-S SE5)

I recently bought a new rear tire for my Spyder, and amidst several other summer projects thought I'd have it installed by a dealer instead of doing it myself. The quote I got back was 2 hours of shop time billed out at $150/hour, so $300 for labor only. I have changed a couple...

EBC Rotors and Fully Sintered Pads on 2015 F3.

ANY surface magnified will look rough. It's a question of *HOW* rough. As to break-in, no, the last several cars I have purchased had no break-in recommendations. Just turn the key and drive. My last several vehicles, including cars, scooters, a motorcycle, and a Spyder, all got the same...

EBC Rotors and Fully Sintered Pads on 2015 F3.

It all depends on how out of flat the rotors are. When you buy a new vehicle they don't tell you how to break in the brakes, ever wonder why? Everything is flat and mated well. If there is ANY breaking in by the factory, it's a couple quick stops, none of this 300-400 miles stuff. So if you...

    Another Tire Pressure Question.....

You have a very good pressure reading device to measure that. I'd call it the same pressure for the ballpark I play in.

 Wow, that's some serious equipment there! Here I was all happy with my tire levers and soapy water.

    Tires

If it was parked in an attached garage or similar situation the tires should be OK. As long as they aren't totally worn out, anyway. If it was parked in the sun and the tires are in bad shape, well I personally wonder if it's a good buy. Depends on price at that point....

    Who changes their own tires?

I do, on all my scooters past and present. Changed the rear on my Piaggio MP3 500 last weekend. And changed the fronts on my Spyder today. Pretty much like a scooter tire just a little bigger. No more difficult for being larger, not any less so either. One interesting (to me) thing: my Marc...

    Horrible day dealing with iMotorsports

What this tells me is, you didn't really want that particular model anyway. If you did, you'd have gone somewhere else for what you wanted. And by the way, it isn't like they lost 18k. They lost the profit off the sale, sure, but that's maybe a few hundred bucks. The issues you had seem to...

    Oil: time or mileage?

OK, I'm awake again. Didn't mean to ignore you last night but I wanted to put a bit of thought into this. So here goes.... When you first start your engine, you get more blowby around the piston rings, and the oil and rest of the internal bits are cool, so water vapors from the blowby (and...

    Pretty much.

    Oil: time or mileage?

Metallurgical engineer here. It depends on the miles per start, more than total accumulated miles OR time. If you drive 5 miles in the morning and 5 miles each night, and then let your vehicle cool off in between, and that's your habit, you need to change your oil more frequently based on both...

I ride them sometimes near Chicago. And I'm on Interstates all the time.
