• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who cares about turning ratios when you could absolutely bust that thing down the highway!!

    Brake Pad Thickness

I also downshift to help slow down. I actuall downshift two gears at a time. It sounds like Mike, whose opinion I trust, is saying that not downshifting when slowing down prolongs brake life. So which method of slowing down prolongs brake life? Downshifting to use the engine to help slow down...

    Now this is a Spyder

I would love to ride that. Guess I would have to ditch my shorts to be on it though. Talk about heat on the legs.

Back in the saddle again. Sort of!

I just ordered a heel toe shifter from site sponsor Value Accessories. Hopefully the install wont be too bad and I can be riding sooner.

Back in the saddle again. Sort of!

I have been thinking about installing one of these. Most people say that once you use it you will wonder why you havent always used one.

Back in the saddle again. Sort of!

Really dont want to go the SE route. I just love riding the twisties when the throttle, clutch and gear shifter are working perfectly together. At least now it doesnt look like I have to worry about it.

    Thinking about trimming the herd

Been wondering when u were going to combine the speed of the RSS and the comfort of the RT, since I think u were the only one piloting your bikes. Hope all goes well with the Boss. I am the same way with Pebbles. She knows if I start talking about buying something, Im gonna get it.

Back in the saddle again. Sort of!

Thought I would update my situation after my toe amputation 2 weeks ago. Went to the Dr. today to get the bandages taken off for the first time. Since it was a 50/50 shot that the amputation would work and I wouldnt need further surgery, I was a little nervous but still confident. Immediately...

Pretty funny. Thought about linking Triumph the Insult Comic Dogs video but I doubt that would have been appreciated too much.

I am tearing into it for the first time today

Bob, The $200 was for the first oil change and 3K check on Cocaine. The fact that they were not going to charge for a valve check that they probably wouldnt have done anyway, is a good thing. I have seen many members here say in the past that they got charged for the valve check but doubted they...

I am tearing into it for the first time today

My dealer doesnt do the valve checks. They said they never have had to adjust them so they stopped doing it. They also took $100 dollars off the service price. Only $200 for the first oil change and service. I had them do the first service so they could put the Gold Plugs in. The rest I am doing...

I am tearing into it for the first time today

Just take your time and make sure you keep all the bolts with the panels they attach to. It is a little daunting at first, but once you do it, it gets easier each time. The amount of money you save is secondary to the satisfaction you'll feel from doing the job yourself.

TOE AMPUTATION CAUSES QUESTION ABOUT HEEL-TOE SHIFTERS

Well, I just got home from the hospital. Surgery went fine but the dr still is not sure if the incision will heal properly, or if I will need to have more of the foot taken off. Im still confident that I will not need additional surgery. Original meds wearing off now but I hate to start taking...

TOE AMPUTATION CAUSES QUESTION ABOUT HEEL-TOE SHIFTERS

Thanks again to all who sent me good thoughts. Looking forward to getting the toe cut off and getting back to work, and riding. Foot was so swollen on my ride this afternoon that I had a tough time getting my toes under the shifter. Still a nice ride. Hope it wont be too long til my next one...

TOE AMPUTATION CAUSES QUESTION ABOUT HEEL-TOE SHIFTERS

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully everything will work out. Im pretty sure it will. Had a good ride today but shifting was getting a bit painfull. I really do not want to go the SE route. I enjoy having the left hand and foot working together for a smooth ride. I am...

TOE AMPUTATION CAUSES QUESTION ABOUT HEEL-TOE SHIFTERS

Friday morning I am having the second toe on my left foot amputated. You know, the "this little piggy stayed home" toe. I somehow managed to get an infection in the bone of that toe. I had a kidney transplant 16 years ago, and any of the non-amputation cures will probably cause problems for my...

Pictures/Video on installation of a Baja Ron Sway bar & links

Search You Tube and you will find some videos, but all I saw were from the 998 engines. Not sure how that will translate to the 1330's install.

Trike for a child in Walmart

This is only 6 volts so you may have to hook a lawnmower battery up to it to get it to move semi-quickly.
