• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zumo XT ordered - what sunshade do you use for it?

I have had the XT for a year and I have not needed the sun visor, although the height of the driver and the position of the screen must also be taken into account. Note that the quality and brightness of the screen has taken an exponential leap since the Zumo 660 and if you mount a sunshade...

Has anyone got the permanent fix for their sprocket?

In my opinion, the definitive repair will bef a pulley change to one that is not yet available. I base my opinion on the fact that the change is not made to all Spyders but only to some series of some models of some years, giving me to understand that they are "defective parts" and that is why...

Is there some kind of fastening inside the front pulley cover on F3L?

Thank you very much for your answers. Then that piece will be lost somewhere in the Iberian Peninsula. I placed the flange not because the screws did not fulfill their mission more than enough, but to avoid possible movements of the piece during the march and unwanted noises. I have to see if...

Is there some kind of fastening inside the front pulley cover on F3L?

This morning I removed the front pulley cover. It has three screws on the outside and inside it has two rubber bumpers that go against the round tube of the chassis. Between bumper and bumper there is a hole, in both the cover and the tube, that seems to be there to hold the cover to the chasis...

    Cyberattack on BRP

It is possible that there has been some mistake or that the company's management has said that famous phrase: "we manufacture motorcycles, we are not a bank" in order to save money, but as a former head of security for a multinational during a lot of years I can guarantee that "the bad guys"...

RoadRunner article re: innovation and evolution

Apart from the really interesting future technical review, the phrase "This looming seismic shift harkens Aldous Huxley's 1932 novel, Brave New World" caught my attention. I agree with the similarity but I think that the whole world already looks too much like the world seen by Huxley and not...

Installation of Garmin XT - which acc circuit for key on hot?

I agree. 2018 f3 LTD it is so. In fact I used this wire to give a positive signal to a relay controlling a fuse box when I put the key "ON"

Installation of Garmin XT - which acc circuit for key on hot?

Not in mine. The one in the frunk is hot whenn the engine is running but the one on the left side under panel is hot with key on. I'm sorry but i didn't test the third.

Shop time for no Reverse - The long wait is almost over!

I'd change. I think it should work in all situations and pressing in all "fingerpower" range. Whether the problem is electrical or mechanical could repeat or more probably go to worse in the future so I wouldn't risk.

    Thanks to all

I'm from a country where there are very few Spyders and therefore far fewer users able to test, modify and do work for themselves. For me, from the moment I discovered it, this forum has been "the bible" of the Spyders and I have nothing but words of gratitude for all the selfless work and for...

    Styupid laws in Spain

In my humble opinion, driving at 70 on the highway when the rest of the vehicles do so at 120 is extremely risky for both the Spyder and the rest, and it causes overtaking and lane changes that can lead to accidents. In this case, speed reduction does not seem to support road safety. Rather it...
