• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone Here Also Ride a Maxi-Scooter?

I have a Honda Silverwing 600. It's a great bike, easy to ride, easy to park and tons of storage. Linked brakes, no shifting. Reliable as only Honda's are. Not made anymore, but that is not a problem, plenty of used, late model bikes around, some with really low mileage. Here's mine:

Tidewater, Hampton Roads, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach Roll Call

I've heard similar things about the wait for service there. Some friends brought them their 2013 there and it was over a month before they got it back and it was stored outside without a cover as well. When they got it back, there was water in the rear trunk. They weren't happy. You could...

After owning one, are you guys still hype with it, compared to before you owned it?

Having owned one now going on almost 2 years, I've put about 4-5K miles on it. I bought it because I was still new to riding and a bit nervous after being off a bike for 30+ years. I tell everyone that asks me about it that it feels like you are riding a bike, but its more like driving a car...

    Driver Floorboards for a 2012 RT SE5

Here is my version of home made. Rear mounts on a stainless carriage bolt that has about a 1" square hard rubber sheath. Stainless bolts throughout.

WHY Does The Ryker Get such POOR MPG???

I own a Silverwing and at 60 its turning around 5K rpm. That is with stock pulley setup. My guess with the Ryker is that you are pushing a third wheel with a disc that creates drag. You also have a much less aerodynamic front, no windscreen and probably much wider tires. It converts the...

    Instrument panel turn indicator

Here ya go. Bought off Amazon, think about 6 or 7 each. Perfectly visible during the day, dont mess with the cluster, just wire into the wiring that goes to the mirrors.

    Rotator cuff surgery

I had my Right shoulder joint replaced beginning of Dec 2018. I think I was officially down for about 10 weeks though I did cheat a bit and rode just around the neighborhood around week 6 or 7. Even at 10 weeks I had a long way to go and now am about 5 months and it feels mostly back to normal...

Why Does My Heart Rate Go So High Riding - UPDATE - solved!

156 is quite high. Since you have afib it may be related to the sensor picking up the extra beats, but I would not be nonchalant about it. It's also possible that something in the bike is causing electrical interference with watch sensor. If you don't already have one, you can pick up one...

RT - Where is the Balance point

Trailer weighs about 6-700 lbs. Bike weighs around 900. Also has the cargo box mounted in the front that has maybe 20-30 lbs of "stuff" including tiedowns and the box itself. So figure around 15-1600 for the total rig weight. 10% would be somewhere between 150-200 lbs tongue wt. I would...

    F3 trailer loading issues

I have/had a problem with the ramp on my alumina trailer being a bit short which can cause the nose of the bike to scrape a bit getting on the ramp and grind the underside going over the middle with the rear still on the ramp. I tried using the trailer jack when the trailer was on the car and...

RT - Where is the Balance point

I don't know if this will help, but this is how I have my trailer set up with the RT. I had heard the balance point was where the front peg was. For this setup, I moved the bike back and forth a bit till I got it to about 200 lbs. That is about 10% of the total weight of the rig and it seems...

    Having aortic valve replaced

From one RN named Bob to another, I hope all goes well. I've never had any cardiac surgery, though I've had my share of joint replacements. I wasn't familiar with what the TAVR procedure was, so I googled it, and that explains the relatively short recovery time. Still a major surgery, so...

    trike drive on lift

There's this: but I use something like this: A harbor freight style motorcycle lift will get it up about 15 inches, enough to get underneath to work on. I would still put some jack stands under the front suspension and block up under the rear wheel if you are going to have it elevated...

    Kendon Spyder Trailer

Interesting trailer. Looks like it was built to handle conventional or reverse trikes like the spyder. No dedicated wheel chocks up front, but the wheels rest on the front rail. Conventional trikes have the front wheel nestled in the nose: Full width ramp: Folded up: According to...

Alternate set of gauges for 2018 RT SE6

There are aftermarket gauges available that people use for retrofitting older bikes that show tach, speedo, fuel, temp, etc. These are pretty basic setups and rely on mostly analog connections as inputs. Although I'm not certain, I think that the integration of the dash with the bikes...

    towing the spyder

Those things are a poor choice for regular bikes and wont work for a spyder. Rear tire is much wider and you are picking up the heavy end of the bike. Take a good look at the holder for the tire. Its designed for a motorcycle tire with a round profile, not the square rear tire of a spyder...
