• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RS Heated Grips?

I use handle bar muffs I picked up at a local bike shop. Insulated and water proof. I've used them with my normal riding gloves below freezing temps and am very pleased.

To Brake or Not To Brake....

Short answer yes. While I am fine not having one I know several people who hate not having one.every other motorcycle has a hand brake, so from a safety stand point it makes sense to include one. Every two wheel rider I know has grabbed for air at some point on the spyder.

Best model for touring, RS out of the running?

I agree with most..of you are flying solo then the RS can easily be made a great long distance driver. I will say riding one up on the rs ids not nearly as nice as the rt. With my Corbin saddle on my rs I've been able to go a tank of gas with out stopping...which compared to most bikes isn't...

    Oil in Spyder from BRP

Should be able to find it at any major auto parts store. O'Reillys, AutoZone and advanced auto all carried it near me and even out in the sticks about 3 hours north of Indy they had it. Usually it's in a different shot than the automotive stuff but they'd know where to point you. Lucas oil...

    six figures

You drive it like it's stolen or are you fairly conservative most the time? What mileage did you replace the engines and the clutch? My 2010 rs sm5 is out of warranty now so I wanna get an idea of when it will be time for a major repair.

    Oil in the air filter.

Just kinda irks me since it was done at the dealership (with a $150 price tag) and they still added too much oil. I think since I'm close to the 3k mark that I'm going to wait a few days for my filter to arrive (thanks to bajaron) and do my own oil change before I take it out. Mostly so I...

    Oil in the air filter.

I had the last oil change done by the dealer about 2800 miles ago. I know the dealer used the winter oil (full synthetic) in my 2010 RS SM5. The first 2700 miles were problem free. This weekend I took a trip of about 150 miles each way, but when I got to my destination I noticed what seemed...

    Front wheel in the air

I've had this happen but only when riding 1up. It's happened on tight turns and once in a round about. The round about scared the crop out of me because like you see fit a good ways off the pavement. When the wife is on the back I now slow it down a bit. I did notice today that since I've...

Seeking Can-Am lessons in Indianapolis, IN

I don't even think you need a permit for abate anyone. Plus if you take abate on their bike you won't get a three wheel restriction like you do if you take the bmv tests. The bmv course is cake on a three wheel.
