• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Help with tire pressure

Let's get back on target The OP asked an interesting question. He wanted to know what tire pressure folks are recommending for the front tires on an RT if they are running automobile tires. The few folks so far that have given him an answer seem to be running really high pressures on the...

    Help with tire pressure

Front or Rear? Bob, Just to be clear, you are talking about the rear tire with those numbers, is that correct? But, the OP asked about recommended pressure for car tires on the front. I believe in Mike's reply to you, he was also thinking "rear tire". I recall when Derrick installed my new...

    Question: re intercom

All good suggestions to try. One other, which you may have thought of already, is to make sure your wife's mic is positioned directly in front of her mouth. That sometimes makes a big difference when using VOX.

How many Spyders have you owned.....

Well, I've owned one very well farkeled, now cool running, catless, fully paid for, beautiful lava bronze 2013 RTL, with a great sounding spunky 998 engine, that has never run better in its life than it's running right now. Not sure why I'd ever want to trade it for another. :shocked...

    Added security

I've used the brake disk lock with a motorcycle. But with the Spyder RT, if you set the parking brake and then turn the front wheels, lock the steering, and take the key, I think you're pretty well covered. :2thumbs: Of course, if some thief shows up with a tilt-bed truck and a hefty chain...

    Windshield Vent

The Honda GL1800 vent fits lower on the F4 custom windshield. The curve of the F4 shield must be a little less. I bought one that is regular OEM height, but they also sell shorter windshields with the vent already installed. Not as cheap as doing it yourself, but F4 makes a very beautiful...

Hello All New to Spyder Touring and Board

Congratulations on the new RT. You and your wife will really enjoy it, I'm sure. Here is a link to a short list of additional ideas when this questions was last asked about two months ago. You might enjoy looking at that thread. As you can see by the link in my signature, I have done a good...

    Concerns as a private seller

Hold the license I would never let anyone without a motorcycle license test ride it. If they have a motorcycle license, and insist on a test ride, I would consider having them follow you to a nearby large, mostly empty, parking lot and let them drive it there while you hold onto their driver's...

    Another seat question,

Good idea, but I wonder if the pans are actually different. :dontknow: I got my Spyder with a regular seat and then bought the Comfort seat. I've always been under the impression that the pan was the same and it was the contour of the foam - they way it was molded - that gave you more room on...

    Extended Warranty

That's true. BRP attaches the warranty to the VIN.

    Another seat question,

Russel Daylong vs. Comfort Seat?? I've been wondering the same thing. I think that the BRP Comfort seat sets you back more than any other non-custom seat on the market, including the Ultimate Tall Boy I looked at. I've often wondered if I could get even more leg room from a fully custom...

Best websites to look for a used Spyder?

I was wondering when you were gonna sell that old thing, Joe. That 2015 RT of yours is starting to get a little "long in the tooth" by your standards. And the 2017's have been on the market for over 30 days already. ;);)

    Mufflers/cats

That is the response I got when I removed the CAT and kept my secondary muffler intact on my 2013 RT with the 998 engine. An exhaust note that has a little "deeper & throatier growl" is exactly the way I would describe it. It's a little louder but not obnoxiously so. Plus, I got a bit more...

    Mufflers/cats

How CAT removal effects the warranty There's a lot of misunderstanding about how the CAT removal effects your warranty. For the record, BRP will not void your warranty if you replace the CAT with the bypass pipe. However, they do reserve the right to deny a particular claim that they consider...
