• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Finally Found a 2016 Spyder RT-S SM6

The first accessory I installed was the ISCI hand brake. I had previously installed this same accessory on our 2013 RT and since it is exactly the same product for the same chassis, it was simple to install. I know that people are divided on the need for the hand brake, but I have ridden dirt...

Need Part # for 2015 RT-S "Special Series" Rims

In 2015, that black rim with the silver outline did come from the factory on a few different models, which I think was for the Special Series trim. I have seen a thread on here where somebody has made that look from the standard black rims using a grinder, but I am not that confident that I...

    Finally Found a 2016 Spyder RT-S SM6

Thanks. Honestly, it is not something that I probably would have thought of or looked to do, but it actually blends well with the red / black color scheme and looks pretty subtle. As mentioned, whoever owned this put a lot of stuff on it and I have removed it all except for the graphics, seat...

    Finally Found a 2016 Spyder RT-S SM6

They were already on it and my wife and I liked them so much, we decided to leave them on. The person who had this before us spent more time adding accessories than they did riding it :)

Need Part # for 2015 RT-S "Special Series" Rims

Correct, but the problem is that there are 7 different part numbers listed for the rim. I am guessing that this fiche lists all of the rims that were available for all of the different 2015 RT models.

    Finally Found a 2016 Spyder RT-S SM6

Hi Everyone, It has been a while since my wife and I sold our 2013 RT-S to upgrade to a 2016. Many of you might remember me from this thread as we made the 2013 as good of a bike as it could be and we enjoyed it for the 4-5 years that we owned it...

Need Part # for 2015 RT-S "Special Series" Rims

Hi Everyone, I am looking for the part number for these front rims that came on the 2015 Special Series RT-S. Also attached is the rims listed for this model from an online site. I have no idea which part number is for these rims and have had no luck matching the listed part numbers with...

    Switching between Spyder and motorcycle

I have had my motorcycle license for 33 years now and I still own and actively ride both of my street bikes (1986 Honda VF500F, 2014 Honda VFR800F). My wife and I are on our 2nd Spyder RT which we use primarily for touring. We bought our first RT in 2013 and recently bought our 2nd which is a...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

My dealer offered me $14K which I thought was a very fair trade in price. I have 11K miles with a ton of upgrades which might be why he quoted me on the high end. Yes, the 998 is a very competent ride. I have no problem waiting another couple of years, but will be looking forward to the...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

Just to follow up with everyone, I did take the next step and start looking into trading my 2013 for the 2016. Based on the value of the 2013, the price to upgrade was just over $10K - whether I traded or sold it on my own. After riding it during the fall with my wife, we decided that the...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

Yes, I have not bottomed that one out yet. I have a friend who did a similar swap and from what I remember, the front shocks came over as is, but there was a spacer or some attachment needed for the rear. At this point, I am guessing, but will definitely confirm things and report back.

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

I am kicking it around. With the fall just upon us, this is the time of year that my wife and I do most of our touring. We go up to the Adirondacks quite a bit to see all of the fall foliage, so right now is not a good time to change the ride. In addition, I have a ton of accessories that I...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

In my opinion, the numbers definitely don't tell the whole story. The HP increase is minimal, but the usability of the engine is way better. Again that extra gear changes a lot of things. I rode the 1330 on one of my regular routes and my gear selection, especially in the corners, was not the...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

Yes, I am aware of that. Down the road, I expect they will move it to a DCT configuration. Yes, my V-Twin has the cat bypass on it with a Power Commander and Auto-Tune. It runs great, but from gear to gear, the ratios are quite wide with the 5 speed. When I cracked the throttle on the 1330...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

The 2013 RS and RT may have the same engines, but are they not tuned much differently? I believe the RS is a different animal than the RT. I've raced dirt bikes my whole life and have ridden 2 wheel street since I was 20, so I know how to use a clutch and always run the RPM's high. I never...

    First Ride on a 1330 RT-S

For those of you who know me, I have a 2013 RT-S that I have made extensive modifications to in order to address known issues and to maximize the handling and performance. To this day, my 2013 has been flawless and is a superb ride. Today, I was at my Can-Am dealer catching up with them as it...

    KewlMetal Air Filter Part Number

OK guys. I pulled the filter from the KewlMetal kit and it does not match the dimensions used by JT's kit. After measuring it up and going to the K&N website, I can now report back that the K&N E-3402 filter is the proper replacement for the KewlMetal kit. I just finished installing it and it...
