• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I did it. Traded my 2017 RTS for a 2018 F3L!

All right! Many happy smiles, and safe miles! Don't forget to fill up those trunks with lots of necessary junk! :joke:

How to lower handlebar F3 2018. Thank you for any help.

Good advice already---all I'd add is you might wish to consider using blue Loc Tite on the threads of the handlebar clamping bolts. It will definitely keep them from loosening once you've torqued them properly! Good luck!

    Plain F3 or F3S??

F3 S. If nothing else you get the cruise control the base F3 doesn't have (I think the front shocks are an upgrade too). The rear shock sucks (thanks BRP!) no matter what.

South Dakota Was Made for Spyders!

Awesome photo!...............................can you take all my pictures for me? :D Maybe they'd be in focus for a change. ;)

    Under $10,000 Spyder

:roflblack: Using my decades of "investigative training and experience"..........................I have detected a note mild sarcasm in your post. And.........................speaking of Yugos; if BRP surprises us with an econo version of a Spyder" for the younger, and fiscally...

    Cleaner Recommendations

I appreciate all the responses! Checking into Merlin's Blood as it seems to offer the best chance of being a true spray on/rinse off product. NO towels, brushes, scrubbing, bending, or stooping!

    Cleaner Recommendations

The new F 3 body work isn't too hard to keep clean; I use Meguiers Quick Detailing Mist to wipe it down. Keeping the wheels clean is a pain in the :cus:, due to all the nooks and crannies (especially the R wheel) and though I like my stock brake pads feel and stopping power they dust like a...

Robbed - 9300 mile service cost

ALWAYS a BAD sign when you know more than the Dealer/Service Dept!! Just pulled the first oil and filter change myself; about $65.00 all up. Performed all the inspection BS (brake pads, brake fluid, coolant, etc myself---oddly enough they were OK). Likely not so easy to do when out on the...

    Flanker's Chop Shop

Thanks to all! Still got the Elka R shock to go + some LED frou frous on the front end somewhere (replacing the stock head light bulbs, or DRLs???), and that darn orange trim bar. Then a repaint of the fog light housings (the silver panels under the Can Am logo) and black chrome for the...

    Flanker's Chop Shop

The first few mods were over priced (as is everything BRP) and easy to install. BRP Spoiler (it's the smallest of the three optional windshields and is more analogous to a string bikini ;) [not much there] than a windshield). BRP SS Grill (love the bright orange trim bar---which is on it's...

    Wax

Meguiars Cleaner Wax. Contains a VERY mild polishing media (helps to remove bug guts, tar, etc and remove swirl marks and such) as well as the wax. Easy to apply, easy to wipe off, lasts pretty well, doesn't cost too much.

    Please Don't Feed The Lions!!

I dunno...............................but that lion looked like he wanted more than fingers to me! If they ever do come up with a real Jurassic Park--------I can only imagine how that will turn out when the idiots flood in and try to take "selfies"! :yikes: Human! It's what's for dinner! :D

    Shorter-reach bars

Since my first post (above) I've installed the attitude bars (I'm 6' 2") to fit my 34" sleeve length------huge improvement over the stock bars (which felt like ape hangers to me). Note to others considering this bar; the control switch housing on both sides can make contact with the body work...

    Tires and wear bars

As everyone else answered what you asked; I'll just throw in some generalities. The more tread you have, the more resistant it is to hydro planing (if you try hard enough you can still HP even a new tire---so this is relative) and puncture damage (the sharp object has to go through more...
