• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is adding highway pegs & handlebar extensions?

My story may help you decide ... tho my issue is short, not tall - but it all applies Started out with a used 09 RS, weight on wrists & sore back/shoulders so added bar risers, changed seat etc etc Traded for a used STL, much better ergonomics, but sore hip issue got worse. Added Tri axis bars...

    Air filter & bypass pipe

Air filter noise - I had Jt on my ST and hated the noise. It - the noise - seems to have a lot to do with seating position/windshield etc. Louder (even obnoxious) for some than for others I think - it seems I was the odd one out. Took it off...

    Brake Controller for camper

Our camper has Hydraulic brakes - not electric. As I slow down, thing on drawbar compresses and hydraulic pressure applies to activate camper brakes. Works seamlessly. Stops camper wanting to 'push' spyder eg when braking down a hill. No wiring. If it works for one Lois, it'll work for another...

    Fuel tank/size problem? Help!

Hmmm. The fuel light does come on early. You have to really start to worry when it's on for ages then goes out! Panic stations. At that point I recall I had less than a litre left. Petrol stations can be few and far between sometimes - after that heart in mouth episode, I started taking spare...

    12 Volt Outlet on F3 ?

The f3s has three customer accessory circuit points - frunk, under left hand tiny panel (top), under back seat. All hot only when engine on. Also gps connector point, location varies. I think it is in your owners manual. Lots of threads with alternatives as to where to put your plug. We just...

    Had my first hater today

To paraphrase Animal Farm - Thimb up Good Thumb down Bad It's all in the attitude though - thumb up can mean something worse... depends whether it is thumb only or the whole arm. I am too old to bother with it... Isnt it the same in the States?

    Engine Misses

Yes I agree re at all speeds - but maybe more noticeable when pulling off the line? Maybe I don't spend enough time easing gently off the line LOL

Out with the old & In with the new

Test ride another triple... Having had two twins and now a triple, I love the triple - way fewer stops for fuel, half the servicing, six gears, and oh so smooth. Personal preference only.

    Engine Misses

Is your rt a twin? Sounds like it - if you replaced the spark plugs and not the leads, then I'll bet that's the most likely cause. Second choice is vacuum hoses - a cheap fix - there are a few threads here re vacuum hose fix. Hope this helps - please let us know.

Rear LED turn signals questions. (ST-L SE5)

Here is what I would do Install new led globes/bulbs Follow the hyper flash procedure (see lamonster garage site for a detailed blurb) to get rid of fast blinking, cross your fingers... IF that doesn't work, worry about resistors etc then.

    check engine fault

Not sure if you are new to the rs but some thoughts - pull the code - might give a clue (key on, hold down mode, set, and push turn button in) - very sensitive to low oil - gearbox carries on a treat if oil is low - E often indicates Gear Position Sensor issue - maybe... - it's happening when...

    Another video about the 2018's

Hmmm I wonder if I can justify buying the gorgeous blue F3 Limited - just for the heated handgrips for grandson/occasional passenger ?? Sounds like a good enough "reason" to me :ohyea:

    Food for Thought

Seems a common thing for a link to be posted, with no clue given as to the subject matter. Sometimes i I have a look at following comments and sometimes deduce the topic ... Why can't posters of such links do readers the minimum courtesy of naming the topic? Sorry boiler animal, you just...

Let's get a handle on what it means to ride as a group vs solo

Similar to breadcrumbs, but more certain.. We use a corner marker system - at a turn, the ride leader hand-indicates to the next rider, who then pulls over with indicator on and arm pointing so all following riders make the turn. When tail end Charlie arrives, he/she flicks high beam lights and...
