• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

The top pivot's but the the whole rest can be rotated left or right. for the pillion. I made a couple of flat alloy bars to fit it to the underside of the seat as the Harley bracket isn't quite wide enough. I also bent the support bar to get the backrest angled to my liking Here's a link to...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Modified a Harley backrest to fit the drivers' seat on my Rally. Works really well and 1/4 of the cost of the OEM rest. Pick of the underside showing the mount set up.

Ryker wiring diagrams - Anyone have access to them?

I have both, only the Service manual includes full wiring diagrams.

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Fuel consumption is already fairly lame on my Rally so I'll pass on fitting a gadget that makes it drink even quicker. Then again...maybe in a few years though, once I've learnt to ride it round corners properly.....

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

Story time: The case of the missing Finger Tip! I don't remember anything about the crash, but I'd hit some livestock that had wandered out onto the road on a blind corner. I woke up in intensive care three days later with, amongst a whole list of injuries, the tip of my right index finger cut...

Another Dealer Drops the Spyder Line

Can Am have been aggressive in demanding their dealer's stock a level of new bikes on the shop floor. A lot of their dealers don't have the floor space or cash reserves to do that, so they lose their on-road license. They can still sell and maintain their off-road lines, but get shut out of...

Has anyone seen or have info on this electric Ryker shifter mod?

I would have been happy to leave things standard but not having a left leg meant I had to lean down to activate it with my hand which got old fairly quickly, especially as my back isn't that flash either so for me it was a case of needs must. It is a bit quirky but I can live with it.

Has anyone seen or have info on this electric Ryker shifter mod?

Spotted the video in question a while back. Looked a bit slow to activate for my liking so I went with a 'gawky jockey shifter' which works fine. The electric mod might need a failsafe switch to prevent accidental activation though....good luck with your investigations, would be great to see...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Comparing a 3 wheeler to a Z900 for the cornering and shifting experience has little, if any, relevance to either a Spyder or the Ryker; unless you like changing gears for the sake of it. :riding:

Curious if anyone with Std Ryker has tried it on Gravel FS Roads?

I've found myself on a couple of rough roads with some 6 - 12inch rain ruts. I managed to get through them ok just nursing it along. The ground clearance is fine for the gravel roads I ride, it isn't made for enduro tracks....and neither am I any longer. Traction has only become a problem on...

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

If you're not going to crash, you don't need to wear any protective clothing, hell, you don't even need crash insurance......

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

Limited development budgets will do that to a project. The problem as I see it now is that if the Canyon sells well, it's unlikely to get a shaft drive; and if it doesn't, they'll probably can it.

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

I own several sets of gloves to cover all seasons. Enduro gloves are my prefered for Spring Summer and Autumn. They work well with heated hand grips and touch screens. Never ride without them. ATGATT

I'm new... should I be replacing my stock Kenda's before it's too late?

    How Do You Ride?

I don't ride in freeways in the US. I do ride highways from time to time in NZ. I don't like tailgaters so will pull ahead or pullover to avoid them; otherwise I'm happy to sit behind at a safe distance and go with the flow.

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

They look an aggressive off roadish tire. Wonder if they'd spoon onto the Ryker Rally? Rear is an MC 205/55R15 Fronts are MC 145/60R16 66T, not too far away. I have heard different tire sizes can mess with the TC though.

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Soft luggage turned up. The brand is called Rhinowalk. Seems robust enough and comes with an inner waterproof liner. Lots of extra straps for tying a sleeping bag or tent on. Fraction of the weight of the pelican cases.
