• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RoadSideAmerica.com app

Wow! Now I know where the worlds largest ball of twine is. Wonder if this is what the Griswalds used in Vacation? :roflblack: I may have to get this for my Garmin 660.

Who actually makes the cover for a Spyder

Neither! It was about who manufactures the Spyder RTS half cover. Looks like someone hi jacked the hi jacked thread! :yikes:

    Spyderfest Photos

Cowtown sure was a great place to hang out during Spyderfest. It was an excellent decision to have Vendor Village and the BRP demos on site. Made it feel like we were at a county fair for Spyders. Lots of stuff to see and buy all in one place.

What is the origin of the term "cagers"?

This site is where I also saw for the first time the term "cagers". I guess it refers to 4 wheel vehicles completely enclosing the driver. Kind of the opposite of an open air ride.

    Front End Vibration?

This looks like the amount of wheel weights on my original tires. Makes me think BRP received a shipment of tires that just squeaked through their quality control. My replacement OEM tires only has a few weights on each wheel and our Spyder is still vibration free after several thousand miles...

    Spyderfest & Safety Recall

At first your were yelling... Now you're screaming! And in RED. Hurts my eyes just to read it! You are way out of line on this one.

    Service Manual

You can download the operators manual from the Can-Am web site but you can get a PDF version of the service manual from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Can-Am-CanAm-Spyder-RT-RT-S-Ltd-Repair-Maintenance-Parts-Manual-/251035694989?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item3a72e4b78d&vxp=mt

Why does'nt BRP fix the RT turn signal return ?

Every time this topic is brought up it generates a fairly large thread. Seems that most Spyder owners fight this issue. I wish they would do away with the center cancel and just allow a second push of the turn signal to cancel. I do not use the PTT button and I wonder if it's possible to wire it...

    Ultimate seats

I sat on the RT Limited with the Ultimate seat they had at Spyderfest. It had a good feel, firmer than stock but softer than my Corbin. My only issue was that it pushed me too far forward like the stock seat but they said another version would soon be available that moves you back 2". I...

Dying to get her back together and show her off. Hopefully one of a kind.

I'd be afraid to ride it and get caught in that spiders web! Excellent detail. Really pops on the pearl white background.

shifting gears on RT loud clunk sound

I guess I really didn't notice it much but my 2011 RT Limited also "clunks" going from N to 1st. But it is very quiet compared to the Harley Ultra Classic I had prior to the Spyder. I think anyone within shouting range could hear it shift into 1st.

    Seal Floorboards

I got the PUP boards. This version allowed me to use my existing Kewlmetal highway pegs. The boards were a huge improvement from the stock footpegs. Very comfortable. John is a site sponser and is very helpfull. Normally he is easy to contact and will quickly return emails, but it looks like...

how do I remove peg and floorboard support

Removing the left side support arm is simple. The right side is an all day project. Refer to the installation instructions for the chrome support arm accessory. I put on the chrome support arms but I can't find the instructions to give you. It's not hard, just time consuming. Lots of...

    Airhawk Air-adjustable Cruiser Seat Cushion

Our longest one day ride was to Cuba for Spyderfest. It is about 4 hours in the saddle from our home. We stopped every hour or so for a quick break and neither of us had sore butts when we arrived. Wouldn't be able to do it without the AirHawks.

    Airhawk Air-adjustable Cruiser Seat Cushion

I have the Corbin seat on our RT Limited and it is fine for us on 1 hour or less rides but on long rides we both have a medium crusier size AirHawk 2 that work great. The more expensive AirHawk has better quality materials but our AirHawk 2 cushions have held up well. Just make sure you don't...

    Front End Vibration?

I don't rememer exactly but I believe it was less than 4K miles. I screamed warranty but BRP wasn't listening. I figured I would at least get some kind of a prorated discount. However, Len at Cowtown quoted me a really great price on a new set of OEM tires. From then on I go to Cowtown for...

SPYDER RT PASSENGER ARMRESTS FROM DIAMOND R ACCESSORIES

I noticed the same thing. They need to be shorter or at least be able to adjust the height for vertically challenged riders.
