• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    footpegs

Yeah, I knew you were kidding. Doesn't matter though. After 2 crashes in 10 1/2 months my ego is almost non-existent anyway. ;)

    footpegs

So, I managed to get the wife on the display Spyder at the dealer when I went to pick up the Strom today. She has a bad knee & hip, so she likes to sit with her legs more stretched out than the passenger pegs allow. She made the comment that if she could use the rider's pegs she'd be feeling...

Lamont, I have a luggage rack here with your name on it!!!

Sweet looking rack & backrest, much better than the stocker.

    Fully Adjustable Windshield Now Available!!

Hehe, yeah I know. I made the mistake of adding up the additions to the Strom that I'd made & when I got to $3k I quit adding. :yikes:

    Fully Adjustable Windshield Now Available!!

Neat idea. Very similar to the Madstad windshield bracket for Stroms. It ws almost unrideable without it because of head buffeting. Man, this Spyder thing is getting to be a more expensive proposition every day!

    zero bars on the gage

Range is really my only possible concern in looking at getting a Spyder, so 200 miles to a tank is a good thing for me. Coming off a Strom that easily got 250 miles before hitting the reserve, stories of 150-160 miles and need a fill up make me shudder a bit as I commute 100 miles round-trip to...

    Cruise control problems

For those looking for a non-mechanical solution there's this- http://www.rostra.com/automotive-consumer.htm I was going to put one on my Strom but I killed it before I got the chance. Here's where I got the idea- http://11109.rapidforum.com/topic=109771175854 And here's the post install...

Saw a dude almost tip over on an MP3 Piaggio

Thanks Spyman. Hard to imagine anything more trouble free than a Strom but that's a good selling point.

Saw a dude almost tip over on an MP3 Piaggio

That's good to know & thanks. Momma wants me in a car, but I think I can talk her into a Spyder. Really don't want to give up riding, ya know? Well, this one was pretty easy, just lost a bit of skin. The first one garnered me a broken collarbone, 6 broken ribs, a crushed L1 vertebrae & a couple...

Saw a dude almost tip over on an MP3 Piaggio

Thanks for the welcome (and sorry for the thread jack Smylinacha, that's sorta rude for a new guy). Got a dealer across the river. Went and talked a bit this morning. He has one on the floor, supposedly on hold for someone for the next 40 days, but has some due in soon. Said I could test one...

Saw a dude almost tip over on an MP3 Piaggio

Ah, well, the MP3 can lock the front end so it'll sit upright. But you have to remember to hit the button or it just kinda falls over like any other motorcycle when you don't get your feets down quick enough. :opps: So, I guess this is as good a place as any to introduce myself. My name is Jim...
