• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally out of hibernation omg my insurance rates!!!!

I agree with everything that you say about the insurance on these machines being too high. I renewed mine on Saturday and it will be about $140 a month. However I must disagree with the statement about the 100% increase. On August 30,2013 all motorcycles were increased by 15% because the...

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

Spring finally arrived here on the Canadian prairies and I have to say that my first ride of 2014 on my 2012 RTS left me smiling all day. Would I like to have a 2014? Of course. Will I be sad on my 2012? Not a chance. I am going to ride it like I stole it and smile the entire time I am riding it.

91 year old goes for a ride

We rode out to visit my 80 year old mother in law on her birthday and during breakfast she said " Do you know what I want for my birthday." I said "No what". She says I would like a ride behind you to my birthday party. We left her seniors complex with my wife following behind and about 20 of...

    Burp has Seal Floorboards

I also just installed seal floorboards on mt RT-S and they look great. I had them on my 09 RS and loved them. It is so nice to be able to move your feet to differant spots when on long trips. I know you will enjoy them.

Tell your story. What was the moment you knew you had to have a Spyder?

In April 2011 my wife and I were at a snowmobile show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they were showcasing the new model sleds for the next winter. I had looked at the spyders before but she had not. She would not ride behind me on my bike as it scared her. When she looked at the Spyder she...

Getting ready to order a Baja Ron RT sway bar?

I am not mechanically inclined and I am wondering how difficult the swaybar is to install on a 2012 RT-S. How long does it take and does it come with good directions.

    seal floor boards

I rode an 09 RS which I had Seal floorboards installed on and I loved them. At first they did feel higher because as stated above you cannot turn the front of your foot down the way you can with the pegs. However you can move them forward so much that you will find you rarely bring your foot...

Wife and I are so very average. Both are 55. Waiting to retire so we can ride more.

    Question??? With all respect.

For me I am 55 yrs old with no noticable handicaps. I have been riding bikes as well as sleds for many years. My wife would not ride the bikes with me as she is scared silly on them. She sat on a Spyder at a show and her immediate response was " I think I could ride behind you on that". We...

    Seal Floorboards

I just had John ship a set of floorboards for my 09 RS to Canada. Because he was not set up to accept Paypal in Canada I sent him a money order. The floorboards showed up in good time. I hhave installed them last weekend and I absolutely love them. Now if only it would quit raining so I could "...

    U-Clear HBC100 Helmet headset

I would be looking at them for talking back and forth while riding two up. Would they work good for that purpose and what would you be asking for them? Also would you ship to Canada?

    Other Bikers

I know what you are talking about. I took my Spyder out for my first spring ride on Sunday and it was the first time since fall that I smelled our local feedlot. Not a pleasant smell but the other spring smells more than made up for it.

Hey Star. Why don't you plan to come to Saskatchewan next August and ride with the good wife and I out to the mountains. Get all of these western provices stroked of the list all at once. We just got back a couple of weeks ago from Banff and Jasper and it was awsome. Wife says it was her best...

    First Spyder trip

Hi all. I am a new spyder owner. I have had my red 2009 RS for about 2 months. The wife loves to ride with me and we are so excited to take a trip to Banff and Jasper, Alberta in August. This will be our first ride over about 3 hours in length.

    Finally

I have been on my spyder for about a month now and I can honestly say that for me it was not a problem getting used to the cornering. I have had many years of riding snowmobiles and ATV's and although the spider has a differant feel to a sled the idea is the same. Lean into the corners and feel...
