• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ride for Kids

Anyone going to the Ride for Kids on Sunday, the 1st of June? Start is at The Cumming, GA Fair Grounds. I've been working on Sun morning for several years, think I may do the ride also this year, just because it'll be a little different from normal. Check it out on the web. Of course, I have to...

    Mountain Motorsports Lithia Springs

Rear tire at a 14,000 mile check. Had my 2nd Kumo rear from Direct Tire, $80, mounted for no charge at the recent 14,000 done at 44,000. They had the rear axle all apart anyway and the only extra is the tire on/off and balance. I don't balance Spyder tires, use Ride-on and it does the balancing...

Summer is back - yes boiling gas again :(

My 2011 RT-SM5 started having horrible fumes and dripping, not just drops, about March, 2012. Never knowingly overfilled it, as it takes too long to get it above about 5.2 or so. Anyway, changed canister, filter, wrap everything, sheets of heat stuff on tank, etc, and ran the tube to the rear to...

To wave or not to wave, that is the question

I Wave to most everyone not in a cage of some sort - but do wave to all antique vehicles, most small convertibles and cars with a military sticker that I see soon enough. I've ridden/ had scooters since the late 50s. They are super. On my third Honda Helix 250 now, along with a 1983 Honda VF750...

    New Products

new thingy How about a check oil light based on mileage, say every 500 miles or what ever you consider best? Or even better, a counter that activates a light after 1200 shifts or some appropriate number. Easiest would probably be an hour meter that activates a light every 8 or 10 hours...

    ride on

All I know is it is not like the old stuff referenced above. My tires have no weights and ride on balances them perfectly. It may take a couple miles in the GA wintertime, but never a problem. Just had my front tires swapped and during the rim change, all the ride on stuff stayed in the tires...

    Spider repair update

If I recall correctly, BMP was the big delay here, per previous posts. They wanted the parts so they could review what was happening. That took 2 or 3 weeks. That is certainly unacceptable, but hard to blame on the dealer. I've had 43,000 miles of outstanding service. The head Spyder technician...

    Event Data Recorders

WOW, a reprimand from the Geru of Posting. Holy Cow, I must be worse than I thought. To make up for it I won't ride today. Of course, it's raining, with T'storms later. I'll try to be good and make you proud. That's what I always told the instructors who called me in for stupid study in flight...

    Event Data Recorders

Event Data Recorders have been around for quite a while and will be mandatory for all cars on 2015. There is a grief report on these on AOL's home page right this second, don't know how long things last. The Senate Committee on such things has recommende the data be priviledged except in a...

    Stopped last night

GA passed the blue light law 8 or 10 years ago In GA, no blue lights anywhere. I had a nice 1999 HD Dyna Super Sport with the blue dots in the red brake lights. The first week of the new law. I got stopped and the gentleman was pretty excited to get his first criminal for anything blue. I...

IS CAT DELETE A DIY JOB ?

Panels/DIY No panels came off mine and it was a 20 min total effort at a secret place I know. Put it on a lift, go at it and let it down. Y was made on the spot and has been superb. Be sure to keep the CAT thing in case the new owner, someday, wants it on. Tuck

    hand brake

ISCI I got a Spyder due to my back, right hip, and shoulder and lots of arthritis. I got the ISCI installed at their place in Montgomery. What a classy bunch of super people. At first, the original hand grip was way too far forward, so my handy dandy ATV shop heated it up and made it almost 50%...

High Cost of Triking a Motorcycle

Exactly the situation I was in 3 years ago.i had a 12 year old Road Glide with 38,000 miles and exactly as I wanted it. $20,000 to trike it as I wanted and it did not make sense. And that does not include the fact that a Spyder has handling and many other advantages. Pretty easy decision. You...

Sat April 6 - anyone doin an all day ride??t

Sat looks like the best ride day and I'm lookin for a good destination and a few Spyder riders. Meet most anywhere and ride to most Anyplace. The Pocket state park area is tucked away in the great hilly/terrific riding area north of Rome. Nice picnic area, restrooms and interesting area. Or...
