• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT'S IN THE SHOP

Me too My 2011 RT with 50,000 great miles is in the shop for left bank lean, P0174, that's been on and off for months. Think he may have it this time, we'll see. I have a 2014 RT limited they let me use, "Ride it like it's yours" so I do. To be honest about it, I don't like the semi-auto the...

    Ride-on tire sealant

Ride on My original tires never were correctly balanced. Bought ride-on and it got worse. Ended taking weights off and ride on did the job in 10 miles. The front tires had 12 weights on one tire and 4 on the other. Bought set of black wheels that were new take-offs. Ride on worked ok for bal...

    PROS & CONS OF 2011 RT-S

2011 I also have a "Big Red" out in the garage. 49,300 miles and still smiling since Aug 21, 2011. It's had a couple electrical glitches here and there, but overall it is a superb bike. A gent asked me the other day if I would buy another one. "Hell yea!" I wish the dealer were closer, but the...

Anyone else get riled about two wheelers dumping on Trikes?

2 wheel idiots If some 2 wheel dorks don't want to wave or be friendly, it's their loss. I ride with and attend HOG's activities as recently as yesterday. Never had one negative vibs out of anyone and the new folks always ask 100 questions about the Spyder. After the last HOG meetimg, I hopped...

Spyder Riders As mentioned above, check the Freedom Riders info under community - 2nd line down at the top the forums. There is a ride up to NC this coming weekend. I'm in Waleska and there is another Spyder on 140 here also. And don't forget the GA forum in the states section at the bottom...

    non-ethanol gas

Sure it's better to use non-ethanol. We have a few pumps Scattered around N GA, but you'd go crazy running to one for every fillup, to say nothing of the extra $1 per gallon - eithey charge. $4.50 to $4.75 a gallon. 10% or so better mileage is great, but the performance is even better. So, I buy...

Hard turning - not sure what a sway bar upgrade will fix??

DPS, etc Agreed. Six months ago my DPS was actually shutting down due to low voltage. My system voltmeter was dipping to 12.3 rapidly and recovering very rapidly. I thought it was probably the dps motor causing the problem. Turned out the fuel pump relay was shorting out and causing the lower...

    Opi's Roadhouse

New place Yes, it was a Zaxby's and closed for a year or so. Saw it a couple weeks ago, but didn't stop. That part of N GA is super, good choice. I look fiorward to the Spyder gathering for your open house, catered by the new bike place!! Congratulations. Tuck

    Almost Hit A Deer

Deer I have not hit one with the Spyder or a bike, but I'm in North Georgia and the deer population is absurd. Where we live, it's 3500 acres and fenced in and you can't legally shoot them and "they ??" estimate 500+ in here. The recommended speed limit is 25 on our private roads, and darn...

    Is it possible?

Shifting So, what is going on with the shiftless transmission? My body doesn't shift well when my temp is over 100 either. Not familiar with the SE, but it sounds kinda confusing to me. Tuck

    Knees

Floorboards and "pegs" In Aug of 2011, when I got my 2011 RTSSM5, First thing I did was look around for the above items. Inspector Gadget had made some and pricing was very reasonable and looked adequate. Coming up on 3 years later, the originals are still doing the job. They are due for new...

Can Am Spyder with Forgiato Concavos Wheels

Looks super. A bunch of the pro basketball players in the ATL area have RSs or whatever and have spent mega bucks on wheels, noise and paint. That sure looks like the stuff they do. One passed me at the speed of light last summer on I75. Being old and deaf didn't matter, I heard him coming and...

How many of Spyder Riders still ride motorcycles?

Everyone is different Between my back, hip and arthritis in general, I had to do the trike for safety reasons. mostly all day riding with a few cramps and aches. My Road Glide had to go, it made my right hip go nuts. I still have a nice old VF750 Magna and my Honda Helix scooter. Use them for...

    Ride for Kids

Two Spyders today and 2 or 300 motorcycles in all, maybe more. Nice ride, pace was great and I'd guess 40 kids got to ride. I had a young man from Alaska. He was there with his folks in support of his sister who is a patient. Zeke is on his first trIp tO GA and was really impressed with Forsyth...

    Mountain Motorsports Lithia Springs

Coolant Coolant in the oil, or oil in the coolant?? That stupid seal on the water pump shaft is often the cause of oil in the collant. It's a pain because it may take a few days till the dealer gets the 12 or so parts to repair the water pump. When mine acted up, it was a week. BRP doesn't just...
