• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    First test drive first impressions

Finless What I think you need to do before you leave for the trip home, is take that thing to the nearest mall or office area parking lot and ride the thing in circles, s curves, fast as you feel comfortable with and do some 360 degree turns and in a short time you'll feel 500% more...

Balancing Spyder Rear Tire & Wheel Assy.

Using ride on in second rear. Both sets of fronts had it also. Only problem was the the original fronts were so mis-balanced, even ride on couldn't fit it. Took the weights off and ride-on alone was almost ok. got the fronts spin balanced when warm, everything perfect. The second balance used...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

company forums or selected classes Harley idealers conduct local "familiarization classes in the shops and the technicians show exactly is going on. They ever have seperate classes for females. I wouldn't dare comment on such a move, but they are very popular. Aircraft manufacturers, those not...

    A Braking Question

Well, I recently ordered a set of pads for the front, as I already had a set of Baja Ron's pads on the back. Got the pads a couple weeks before my next inspection. That's the last the,y have been seen by the human eye. Took the bike in, told Mitch the technician. The pads were in the frank and...

    Starting problems

I believe you,re the gent we helped out at the station right before the falls. I suggested you get right over to the tent lat night, but the guys at the tent said they hadn't seen you. Last we saw, after doing the key away from the bike thing, putting some oil in and help from several of our...

Thought of trying a different GPS than Zumo 660

You must be a classy guy. Nice handle, 1390 to get you there and riding a Spyder. You in Maggie Valley this week? I'm at the Comfort Inn and will be at Lamont's. Just like most, using ram mounts, Garmins cable that came with it and you've got to have a sunshade and a small sandwich bag for the...

    Maggie Valley From Georgia

Wednesday Iwas thinking of leaving Waleska about 9, which would put me in Ellijay's Walmart shopping center about 10:15. I'll stop and look around the gas station and see if anyone is hanging out. Text me if you think you would be ready then or thereabouts. 404-401-0750 Thanks Tuck:cheers:

    Ride-On and Wheel Balancing

Well, I'll have to tell Canton tire so they don't do it again. They spun the two fronts with the original weights removed, Ride On installed about one week and they are perfect. That's as much as I know. I was standing there watching. We never got to rear tire, I think it was not comparable...

    Ride-On and Wheel Balancing

Balancing w/Ride on The front end of my new 2011 RT was always shaking, so I got Ride on. It helped most of the time, but at 50-55, still had a lot of vibrations. Next step, removed the weights on front tires. One had a handful, the other only a couple. Still wasn't right. I went to our tire...

how many of you have removed the splash panel?

Lower panels I have removed both of the underneath panels. I finbally did the "surgery" on the panel in the coolant radiator compartment today. Some have drilled it, some have cut out on big hole for the hot air to go under the bike. That was my choice. Not a lot of room, particularly if you...

    12,000 mile tune-up... Expensive!

new mileage for inspection The letter I got had a big asterik and said "except in CA." Maybe I misunderstood, it's been a matter of minutes since I've been corrected by the Warden. That's all I know about the CA requirements. Tuck

    12,000 mile tune-up... Expensive!

12,000 mile 1st of all, due to the politics of SMOG, etc, I think CA is the only state not eligable to do the 9,300 mile version of the original 6,000 mile check - there are differences though. Here in GA, the Atlanta area dealers are over $100/hour. If you chose to use the dealer, it's pretty...

    Vantage Footboards

For $1,000 a set, they darn well better be nice. That's crazy. I thought the $500 ones were too high. Maybe Warren Buffet or Bill Gates would pop for them. My IG stuff is absolutely wonderful for the minimum investment. I felt that I had to pop for the hand brake system, glad I did. My hip only...
