• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Helmet noise reduction

I solved my noise problem years ago. Turbine engines gave me a 40dB hearing loss in both ears (even using double hearing protection). I don't notice the wind noise, but my Scorpion EXO 900 helmet fits nicely. I can't say it's the perfect fit, but it is comfortable, snug and no hot spots. The...

    Rider Cutlery

I've been carrying a Swiss Army knife since my dad gave me one at 9. I tell people I can do anything with it including rebuilding an engine or doing an appendectomy. Ok, maybe the engine rebuilding is a stretch..... I used to have my dad's Air Force pilot's issue switch blade, but have no...

    MOTOROLA XOOM™

I knew that Doc.... my wife is looking at videos of the Motorola Xoom right now drooling. She's trying to figure out how to get one in her business. We live 10 miles from the edge of the Houston Verizon 4G network. Should be moving our way in the next couple of months.

    Sneak Peak- PowerSportsWraps.com

We bought a wrap from Pete about a year ago, one my wife liked from his web page. Sure was a learning experience for my wife's son and I to put it on. :shemademe_smilie: I've had body shop guys ask me where I got my paint job from it looks that good. I dare not show these pictures to my wife!

So any Verizon folks going to get the iphone?

The problem with Verizon is that nobody knows anything about anything. When the Omnia II came out, I told the guy at the store to put one away for me when they came in. The day before the stores got them they still didn't know they were coming. Once they did come in, I went in and showed them...

Yeah, but it's no Prada! Would be hard to match your nail polish with that color. And how do you accessorize with that?

    Please Prepare Me...

I haven't had any problems with my Spyder, but I had a '52 MGTD that I had to build a motion detector alarm for it since I couldn't lock the doors. I found people who had opened the door and were sitting inside. One guy said he was trying to figure out how to turn off the alarm!

Jeez, it's like watching grass grow. Seeing that reminds me of why I live in SE Texas! Haven't touched a snow shovel in 47 years!

    Cross Wind handling

One approach I take is to be like jello on the bike in wind. If I tighten up, the bike reacts to my body and the buffeting is worse. If I let the wind blow me around without a death grip, the bike won't feel it as much. And we do get some winds here in Galveston County on the coast. 15 to 20...

    Licensing in Texas

Yes, the course is for beginners. I hadn't been on a 2 wheeler since 1979. There were several people who had never been on a 2 wheeler before. It isn't hard, 1/2 day of class, short test then 1 1/2 days on the course with a driving test at the end. Again, it isn't hard. You are pretty much...

    Licensing in Texas

Lots of old information here. Texas now requires you to take the motorcycle safety course instead of riding in front of a DPS officer. No, you are not limited to a 3 wheeler if you take it on a Spyder, Texas doesn't have a restricted MC endorsement. But the course isn't set up for a Spyder...

ipod Lead for RT - S

There should be an adapter that plugs into the port in the trunk for a 3.5mm male plug. Male to male cable is needed to plug your mp3 player in. I drilled a small hole in the back of the trunk and ran a 6 ft long cable from the back up under the seat to the front where I can plug in my cell...

I thought about that, when I thought about putting the antlers on the frunk lid. But the brackets wouldn't fit. I might do some rearranging this week.
